What's new

Who's our best player in 4 years?

Yep. And it's not out of the question. This draft is so deep and we have other assets like Jefferson and Bell (a cheaper vet for leadership) to move up if necessary. Heck, if we re-sign AK cheap, we could dangle him too.

I think our best chance of moving up is through packaging picks rather than players. We wouldn't have really been able to move up much in this past draft with players and I don't think it be any easier next year. If we can convert any garbage (Miles, Bell, Tomic) into late first rounders then I think that could be good for us. The only way I'd take AK back is if I knew he'd be dealt for assets, assuming I were GM.

When a decision is too tough I just use "The Randomiser". https://www.mathayward.com/randomiser/

- Simply put in all the options in no particular order (i.e., Burks, Favors, Kanter, Hayward).

- Think of your question (in your mind) then Hit start.

- My answer was ....

Favors it is.

The Harrison Barnes infatuation on this board is intense.

DX tweeted or retweeted about how somone saw him play against Durant today and said he was a "lock for #1 overall". I don't see the infatuation either. He seems like mostly a jump shooter. He is a 19 year old who has a 30 year olds game. Extremely polished.

Let's say we end up with #'s 11 and 12. I think Jefferson + #11 would be enough to move up at least 2-3 spots, if not more. Say someone like the Wiz or Cavs is sitting at #6. These are two teams with a huge need for a legit frontcourt guy. They may take Jefferson (if an extension seems very likely or has happened) + #11 for their #6 overall and expirings or something like that.

Sounds good to me.

I think we stand pat this year - play Hayward & Miles at SF, Burks & Bell at SG.

Then, as you said, package Jefferson & get a stud SF next year, say Gilchrist (currently projected at #7 by DraftExpress).
