Why Isn't Gobert Playing?

This is the year of the tank, not just a jazz tank but everybody on the east side except for Miami and Indy and several in the west. Biedrens has no value to a contender in the traditional meaning of contender. But he is so bad at being being good that he has huge value to a tank contender. I could see the jazz flipping him to Milawaukee for Illislova, or Sacramento for jason Thompson or to Cleveland for something. Biedrens could put a team destined for a 6-7 pick square into contention for the #1 worst record. The question is will the jazz give up such a valued asset, and how much will it take to get him?

I don't think the Jazz were anticipating having Gobert play at all this year, and they are sticking to that plan. If he's better than Biedrins, it's not by much. I do like how he causes problems on Defense.

Hardly worse than Biedrins. You call playing Biedrins competing? Have you watched Gobert play? He actually can be a game changer on the defensive end when he gets PT. In any case, he needs to play.

Another guy we all said that he was too raw, etc, Jeremy, is showing this year that he's more capable than we had thought, but he never got PT before. So, whose fault was that? Call Dennis Lindsey and demand Corbin be removed -- 801-844-2701.

But you said players only develop on the court... You just killed your troll schtick dude.

He also makes the dumbest fouls you'll ever see and has no offense so he clogs the machine.

Specially compared to Biedrins' untouchable offensive prowess.

You may have a point there, considering Beens has only taken ONE shot this season and is on track for his third consecutive Worst NBA Season Of All Time award. Hard to earn even one, let alone three consecutive.

I guess I'll have to go with turn overs, fouls, and learning from the bench.

I would assume if this continues once Favors is back, Gobert might be sent to the D-Leauge. Which I certainly think is better than him sitting on the bench.

A rebounding machine who can block shots will hurt the Tank. And we all know Portland is secretly paying Corbin to ruin us.

You misinterpreted my post -- I was saying that we all thought Jeremy wasn't good enough to play because he wasn't playing but now he's getting some PT, we're finding that wasn't true -- it was Corbin keeping on the pine because of his love for vets. And I'm no troll -- you don't see 1,000s of post by me, do you? And I've been on here since the site started.

Did anyone else catch randy Rigby on spence and Monson tonight? He was saying that part of developing young players is sending them to the dleauge when the team goes on long road trips that require the coach to rely heavily on veteran players.

See ya Rudy, have fun wherever the Jazz affiliate is. Block 5 shots a game for me, and Coe back soon.

In a normal year, maybe. . . this year though? That's just stupid. The kid can help. He should be out there more. Smh.

Clark they can send down to D-League. I'd like to see him get a chance to show off his shot against that level of competition on a consistent basis.
