Should the Cavs trade Wiggins for Love?

Damn. You seriously just prejudged the flocka out of Wiggins.

.....I was taking a shot at Wiggins.....he may be an outstanding young man with a pedigree background better than the Manning boys! But if the Cavs want to win now then Love is the best option even if it cost them Wiggins. Wiggins is an unproven NBA commodity.....Love is already on the books as an NBA all-star who can shoot very well in the big leagues!

Love is throwing tantrums in the last seasons....he should be more focused to bring the Wolves back to the playoffs.

Love can score...but for me he is overrated.

If the Cavs are willing to give Wiggins,Bennett and some picks for Love....the Wolves make a big deal!

Love can score from inside and out, is an elite rebounder, can pass and is the best outlet passer in the game...but for me he is overrated.

FIFY

Who could Love even guard in the Miami/Spurs final?

Maybe Udonis Haslem?
It would seem that he has the physical tools of a boris diaw.
Maybe love needs proper coaching and system along with motivation (playing for a championship) to improve his defense

Love brings so many things to the table, his defensive deficiencies can be tolerated in a good defensive system with good defensive players. He's not a definite impediment to win a championship. Especially with Lebron.

He has definitely more chances than Harden, at least.

Maybe the situation is a whole lot different:
Minny uses the Dubs to create leverage against Cleveland.
Cleveland is still unwilling to include Wiggins because they think Waiters+Bennett+(Thompson)+future 1st(s) is a better exchange than anyone of the group that Love considers to resign with can offer.

Now it's a stalemate.

I'd play hardball with Minnesota. They don't have any great offers out there competing. GS probably isn't going to give up Thompson. Why should Cleveland give up Wiggins?

I'm not so sure it's a great move for Cleveland anyways. I know Wiggins is a way away from championship level competing, but that's if he is a main piece, which he isn't, and doesn't have to be right now. But that also don't mean he can't help. He also is a lot cheaper than Love. If I'm a GM, I'd value rookie deals highly. Lebron already found out that a big 3 all maxed out is hard to win with. You need help.

I think if I'm Cleveland, I'm looking for more help through cheaper trades where I don't have to give up so much. Even with Love you still need a rim protector. Just because Love is brought over, it doesn't mean it's a lock to win the championship. It's still a flawed team, and now you are back to the same situation where you are not flexible enough to add help.

People are also forgetting about Anthony Bennett. The guy is going to be good. I'm tell you, he is. He can also spread the floor. He has a really nice shot. He will help that team. Minnesota should really consider him as an alternative, and not just balk at that trade. If I'm Cleveland I'm not sending anything more than Bennett and a pick, and would hold firm on that because I'd like my chances with Bennett. What if Bennett turns out really good? Then maybe in a year he has even more trade value. Sell high.

Also, if I'm Cleveland, I'm not worried about Lebron leaving. No way Lebron leaves now. If he did, his image would take a huge hit. Worse than before. He is in Cleveland for life. I guarantee it. I'd tell Lebron to be patient. Because in a year from now, your assets will be worth even more. Cleveland should be in zero hurry to make a deal for Love. I'd only take a good deal. I wouldn't over pay.

The guys they should be focusing on trading are Thompson and Waiters. Mainly because they will be requiring pay days soon and they won't be worth it. Get something now for them if you can. Preferably a decent rim protector. Maybe Indiana would part with Hibbert. Buy low.

Hell... Go get Ryan Anderson for Dion Waiters and Thompson. Ryan Anderson = poor man's Kevin Love.
