If you want someone to pound a roof nail in, you choose the guy with a standard hammer instead of the one with a pebble. We get "chosen" because we invest in the resources.

I can't argue that we're best suited to do it. I don't know anywhere near enough about the state other countries are in to say that's true or not. But even if we are, don't you think that by having us do it we're taking valuable playing time away from developing countries?
There are others that have the capability to respond to many of the threats America has taken on.
Britain, France, Russia, Germany, China...all could have handled alot of conflicts around the globe.
Your analogy does not work since America is not the only one with a hammer. We might have the brand nnew Overkill 600x hammer but any hammer will do.

So, it's not that they're supporting an American strike against Syria. They're just on board blaming Assad for the use of the weapons. I can handle this.
25 nations all believing it was Assad. I'm happy to see that. But I still hope before we make a strike, we present all the evidence at the UN, and ask other nations, specifically the 24 other countries listed, to pledge their military support alongside ours. At that point, make a clear and quantifiable goal, along with a timeline that will dictate success/failure in this operation.

I have a lot of respect for President Obama to this point. It's like he's paying the bad boy for politicians but holding out ad letting the voters decide-give him an out.
As much as I'd like him to be a boss and lay down the line, he has to deal with all the **** that goes with modern digital politics. It's like he's being the *** and taking one for the team here.
