What's new

Withey

He played well against real centers, but struggled when other teams played "small ball". However, he is a bargain backup when you look at cost vs production.

Once you find your way to QS's doghouse it is very hard to emerge. See Little Sap, Burke, Cotton, Cooley, Kevin Murphy, Dee Bost, Brock Motum.
Pardon my ignorance, but who the F is Dee Bost? Never heard of him. Will my Jazz-fan card be revoked for not knowing this?

There is no argument that Withey should have been taking Booker's minutes. Seems like every time Booker was on the court things were happening with him at the epicenter. Every good team has a guy or two that are balls of energy like Booker. No one is searching for their Withey.

I think a case could be made that Withey + Favors is a better lineup than Favors + Booker, for many situations. Booker certainly brings the energy... but falls short in a lot of other categories.

Dee Bost and Rodney Hood were teammates at Mississipi State. He made the Trailblazers roster and was assigned to the Stampede when they were a Portland affiliate. He went to Jazz training camp the next year, played the first preseason game, did reasonably well in the few minutes of PT and then was cut. He's been in Europe since showing back up in the States to play summer league. I think he played with the Pacers summer league team in Vegas last year.

Agreed - Booker is vastly over-rated because he has highlight play ability. The only problem is everything he does in between is pretty mediocre.

Do you have a job sir?

Dead serious. Do you have a job and if so, what is it?

Withey did everything that was asked of him. In mostly limited minutes he played well. And when he was given minutes due to Gobert's injury Withey played well by contributing.

I doubt he picks up a couple offers if he is cut. He was on his way out of the league and overseas whewn the Jazz signed him and he hasn't done anything in Utah to warrant another team wanting to pick him up.He dif has a nice highlight tape from Kansas however. If GMS onbly watched them tapes and not a whole game.lol

What an idiotic comment. Did you really watch the Jazz play. If so, you must be blind or brain dead.
