I have said this before but if Hayward is intent on signing in Boston then a sign and trade is best for both parties.
Hayward will get more money
Boston can clear more cap space in the trade and free up some players that play the same position as Gordon
Utah gets a couple of pieces to start a rebuild.
Boston still has a million assets that they can bring in George
Boston has players that will need to be traded
Avery Bradley - 1 year 8.8 million but they wont be able to re-sign him with all the other players they will have to play
Jae Crowder - 3 years 22 million plays the same position as Gordon and George (but his contract is team friendly so they will try and keep him for bench depth)
Jason Tatum - Same position also and how do you develop a top 5 pick when there is not playing time.
jaylen Brown - Same position and same situation as tatum (one of them needs to go atleast)
Tyler Zeller - 1 year 8 million not an awful contract but for what he does he is grossly over paid.
