Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

Maybe Utah is just faking extreme interest in Barrett so NYK can have a "win" when Utah concedes Barrett be left out, only to increase the price elsewhere, but the Knicks are stoked because they get to say they kept Barrett?

Makes sense. Jazz can ask for 2 more picks if Barrett isn't included, same as they did with Minnesota. Or maybe they ask to remove protections.

Barrett's okay. His efficiency is pretty average and his defense is probably average. He has positional value and puts up some numbers. I could see him being treated as an asset that's comparable to John Collins. The question is whether he really helps teams win at the end of the day.

Derrick Rose has a team option for 2023-24 so he’s essentially an expiring contract.

Rose + Toppin + Quickley + Grimes works salary wise and it saves us 5.8M immediately plus like I said Rose is essentially an expiring.

Rose should be the salary target, and then try to flip him for bad salary and a great asset. Or just let him expire and add cap space next year.

barrett's efficiency is well below average. he was a bit closer to average in his second season, but dropped off a cliff again in his third season.

Pretty sure Donovan is getting traded to the Knicks. Windhorst said it’s believed to be inevitable and the only question is what price gets negotiated.
