In the past, we have seen some crazy stuff happen in the moratorium period. Flip flopping, etc. because the agreements are only verbal from July 1 until July 6. Do you think the following is possible? I don't think I have seen anyone mention this yet:
DL meets with Hill reps and Ingles reps before meeting with Hayward July 3rd. He verbally agrees to a contract with both of them. When DL meets with Hayward, he has that as leverage.
If Hayward stays because Ingles and Hill are coming back, most everybody seems happy with that.
If Hayward decides to go somewhere else, would DL consider cancelling those verbal agreements? Would we tell Hill $20 a year and then take it back if Hayward still leaves?
