Would u stay as jazz players if you were Kanter or Favors?

I'm so worried about maybe losing these two guys who we don't know what they will be. 2016-2017 & 2017-2018 is just around the corner & I'm scared to death.

If I were a young rich athlete and had any choice I would try to get out of SLC regardless of the amount of minutes played. Almost any other city with an NBA team is more appealing to those guys.

And especially with the team's staff acting like you're living in your grandma's house.

Actually favors is a free agent in 2014, and kanter is a free agent in 2015.

Nice try though

The trade deadline is a desert mirage. But worry not, we'll all be pacified in knowing the right deal wasn't out there, that KOC tried and didn't want to make a move just to make a move. I don't see huge contracts being thrown at Al in the off-season. I see us (if we haven't resigned him by that point) swooping in and gett 'a steal' and proclaiming 'having too much talent is a good problem!' Favors and Lanter likely won't see more than 25 mpg next season even if Millsap is gone. They're too inexperienced, you know? Also, if we lose Millsap we will be looking at replacing him with Elton Brand.

I don't see us moving one of them in a sign-and-trade. If we do, however, it's going to be for some middle-of-the-road guy that we have no need for that will scratch heads but then we'll eventually think 'hey, maybe we can use this guy' (see the Harris/Marvin trade for an idea of what we'd target).

Also, someone had it right last week when they wondered how many times Lindsey has suggested something and KOC shoots down with, "That sounds good but here's why it won't work..."

I don't think it makes any sense to worry about how Favors and Kanter feel about their minutes. It is what it is. Do they feel entitled to play in front of Millsap and Al? I hope not. It wouldn't make any sense to bench Al and give him 15min/game just to protect the feelings we imagine these players have. As much as I don't like Al's game, and I really really don't like it, he is the better player so he should be starting and getting starter minutes. If Favors and Kanter are too self-absorbed and immature to deal with that fact then I don't see why we should feel obliged to pander to them. But, we don't even really know how they feel about it, so again, it doesn't make sense to react to imaginary feelings we assume they must have.

I'm also glad the Jazz don't make trades just to make trades. You let your team get ripped off a few times because you're desperate and no one will ever think they have to pay retail for your assets. The Jazz are doing it right, no matter how frustrating it is for the uber-fans on this site.

So next year when Favors negotiate with Jazz, i hope you think the same way like now

I'm saying you have no idea what Favors thinks or how he feels about his minutes. I want favors on the team, for sure, but that doesn't mean the Jazz should do stupid things to make him happy. If the Jazz doing the right thing and making smart decisions sours Favors on the team then that's on him.

Nobody's saying do something dumb to make him happy. Everyone's saying stop doing dumb things to make veterans happy (see Bell, Howard, Foye, Jefferson and Millsap).
