Would you trade ...

If the Jazz got the 2nd overall pick in the draft (so no Doncic left) would you trade the pick+Hood+Exum for Aaron Gordon?

Would the Magic do that?

It depends on whether Porter, Bagley or Young blew us away in workouts and interviews and whether we'd prefer to control a young player for 7 years and maintain more cap flexibility over the next three years rather than max out AG. It would be a close debate. Rudy might prefer to play with Gordon though.

I'd offer Cleveland Favors for the right to swap our 1st round pick this year with their Brooklyn pick. Cleveland can put top-3 protection on the BK pick. Favors goes to a contender. The Jazz are all but guaranteed to have a top-10 pick in this draft. Cleveland betters their team this year and drops back maybe 5 spots in the draft. Jazz can take back some salary, but not a long deal.

I think Favors and Sefalosha both made a good impression on the Cavs tonight.

I think I would do it 100%. It'd be nice to take advantage of Mitchell being super cheap for the next 3 years by having two studs like Gobert/Gordon maxed out next to him. The Jazz might be legitimate contenders if they got Gordon. Gordon is essentially the perfect fit at PF next to Gobert.

A team with Gobert, Gordon and Mitchell could maybe attract a decent FA as well, on a three-year deal that ends when it's time to max Mitchell. That said, Porter is likely going to be a better shooter than Gordon and could just as likely help attract a good FA.

Why is it likely Porter is going to be a better shooter? Gordon is a 40% 3pt shooter. The dude lights it up. It's not a fluke.

Gordon shooting 40% from 3-pt range is a 10-point improvement over his career average. It's impressive, but I'm not sure it's sustainable. If he keeps it up, then maybe... I still remember him coming into the league as a 50% FT shooter. I guess those days are long gone

He just had a 39 point game on 5/11 from deep. And this is in his 4th year, the year were most guys usually struggle taking over as the #1 option. He should take another pretty big jump next year like most dudes his age in their 5th year.
