My buddy who quit watching the NBA years ago pointed out to me how much refs can control a game by simply "missing" 2 calls on one end and giving 2 calls on the other end during each quarter. Over the course of the game you may not notice it so much but that can constitute a 32 point swing in a game.
It’s not even that they are intentionally doing it but the continue to reward guys and teams that exhibit foul seeking behavior. It reminds me of ambulance chasing personal injury lawyers... some are legitimate operations that protect citizens... some are looking to exploit loopholes for all they are worth... that’s fine if the main perpetrators are ancillary players like Vlade Divac... but when you give that much leeway to guys that are mvp/all star candidates it puts a magnifying glass on it and makes you look terrible. Flopping is one thing... manu did it to excentuate contact, but when you move your arms into guys and are just trying to put the issue on the officials it is another. Now guys have to play with their hands behind their backs and now you have a huge advantage.
I don’t know what happens but something should to at least stop the unnatural foul seeking.
