You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Washington is already at the luxury line. I think the play should be Portis + BPA + quality with the room MLE.

$11 or $12 should get Portis and it could be an amazing long term fit. He could be our Favors with a 3 point shot. A PF/C who has room to grow.

We have around $6 million left which could get a really good player depending on how things shake out.

Portis the complete opposite of Favors.

We are talking about a 6'11 player who shot the same percentage on 2pt shots that Ricky Rubio did this year. If that doesnt blow your mind I dont know what will.

He's 24 and just shot over 40% from 3 last year. He's been playing for unorganized, tanking franchises so far. Favors had to evolve to get to this point where he is respected so much for his comprehensive defense. I have faith in our coaching staff to get Portis' defense up to snuff. Offensively, he is already more dynamic than Favors.

If we can get Portis + a guy like DeMarre Carroll, we are better than just having Favors. This season and long term.

You set up a date and cancel if you like girl 1-3 better and end up closing the deal.

I mean it ain’t like he isn’t talking to other teams.
 
Let’s get one thing straight. Favors individually might be better than a Mirotic or Portis, but both those guys make the jazz better and bigger bang for their buck. Don’t get me wrong I’m a Favors Apologist but he he’s not a 4 in the modern nba era, and doesn’t fit next to Gobert. He will also hinder both The ability of Mitchell and Conley to find open shots inside, and last we are paying a mostly backup center 18 million. Lol

Just my two cents.

Ah, yes, I think that's the point which has been hammered home a hundred times here over the last two years.
 
I will be shocked if we don't keep Favors at this point. This front office just doesn't have it in them to cut the cord.
