Some of those he might not have been playing PF Royce could have been. But either way none of those are enough to draw any conclusions from. They are wayyyy too small of sample size. I think its pretty bad to try and make claims about anything with Ingles at the 4 based on stats.

I cant find reliable data on how much he played PF. Basketball reference claims he played 66% of his time at PF. But I know that is not true, as does anyone who watched the Jazz this year.

Lineup data isn’t great in how they assign positions... if joe is out there with Royce or Niang they are likely guarding the 4 or the bigger wing. Joe doesn’t have the heft to guard 4s.

There are several big free agents this offseason and many teams are trying to create room to sign one of these. Some may find themselves in awkward situations, such as having to get rid of $0.8m/year contract of a 21 old. My priority would be taking advantage of any such desperate team. Utah has to get either creative or bold though as their draft picks are gone and books full. But opportunities like these don't come too often and they are particularly hard to miss if you manage a small market team.
K, but that’s not happening with Favors on the roster.

Can't. Rubio's cap hold is being released to facilitate the Conley trade.
Trade hasn't gone through yet.

Strong indication Rubio is headed to Indiana, but they'll have to get rid of Thad or Bojan (along with their other FAs) to make it happen (they have ~3mil in non-guaranteed contracts they can drop
as well).

The idea is to add Rubio to the Memphis trade, and potentially find a fourth team to take some of the surplus salary from Indiana.

Indiana keeps Thad and Bojan (and Wes, Tyreke, Corey Joseph and Kyle O'Quinn if they feel like it), and their full MLE.
Jazz keep their full MLE, their BAE--and can potentially use Favors and Exum in an S&T for Tobias Harris (or someone else?)
Deal stays the same for Memphis.

Makes some sense if you can find a team that can absorb a few mil or wants Doug McDermott...

Cheick Diallo and Frank Jackson (I think NOP would have to waive him to create max space. They might waive him regardless)

Quoting myself...

For Indiana: Holiday + Johnson + Sumner = $5,244,283 in non-guaranteed and expiring contracts.
Salary Indiana can receive in a trade for those three: $9,277,495.25.

Looks like a good number for Rubio. Why would they voluntarily lose the MLE when they can do something like this?
