What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

A lot will probably depend on how JWF, Brantley, and Oni look in summer league.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see them use their two way contracts on two of those guys and have all three end up on the Stars most of the season. That would leave the Jazz with 3 spots to add more veteran players for depth this year.

Would not shock me at all. I see at most one guaranteed contract on the line for the rooks. And only if one really stands out and can help us win a championship. Otherwise, yeah, probably two-ways and the Stars.

One of them makes the roster for sure. They didn’t pay 3M to put these guys back out as free agents. I think two of them make the roster one gets a two way.

Well, we needed to improve our deep outside shooting....and we did! We needed to improve our point guard play and we did! We won 50 games last year with not so great a roster and a pathetic 1st half schedule.......I say we can add 5-10 wins on that total with our fundamentally sound basketball moves! GS has regressed, Houston has regressed, the Lakers have not done anything to impress, Denver we can beat, the Blazers we can beat, the Clippers we can beat!

Ryan Anderson at the min when he gets waived? Prolly rather just play Niang, but Anderson at the min is a decent bet... I don’t think he’s done.

He's an interesting idea but he didn't play at all last year and he can't rebound. Is he really the type of 4 we're looking for? In any case, if we're looking to minimize wear and tear on Ingles and Bogdanovic at the 4, I think he'd be a solid signing as a starter at 15-17 minutes, assuming nobody else comes. I like him more than Jeff Green. Less than JaMychal Green. But I'd really like a miracle where we get Eminem (Marcus Morris).

Niang is probably better than Anderson. He's washed up. Even Jeff Green would be better. This isn't the Anderson of years ago. Might even prefer Brantley, tbh, if you want a guy to bang and get rebounds.

Morris bros have too much attitude for Quin. Not going to happen.

Do the 4 opens include Neto or is it now up to 5?

Prolly... maybe just roll the damn dice with what we have at the 4... Get some solid vet min at either guard spot.

The Jazz could also keep in mind that the Sixers roll out four bigs that can play on the perimeter.

Marcus Morris seems like a player that checks off a lot of boxes. I would love to have some matchup data to peruse about this.

Ummm, I see Zanik agrees with me. I'd like to say I called Mudiay, but I wasn't even thinking about him as a backup. Kind of lost track when he went to the Land of Misfit Players (NY). Gotta say I like the two-headed DeJus? Zandey? monster we have making personnel decisions.
