Jurors ask for clarification of manslaughter. I'd say that takes 2nd degree off the table but now I'd say odds are 50/20/30 guilty/hung jury/not guilty

How much time would he likely serve if its manslaughter?
In Florida the charge of manslaughter could lead to imprisonment up to 30 years. Also in FL there is no mandatory minimum so even if convicted they could give him 1 year and credit for time served.
Edit: I agree with GF (shocker, I know) that it's manslaughter most likely with acquittal a minority possibility.

I really don't know too much about this, haven't really been paying attention, but people on twitter and facebook are already starting in with the "they don't care because Trayvon was black".

The evidence for racism in our justice system is there in the conviction rates and harshness of sentences. There is overwhelming statistical evidence for it. The ignorance that is out there is people being unwilling to listen to the evidence that is available.
