Gun store owner: We're a Muslim-free zone

But is anything really a choice? Free will is an illusion born out of complexity. We're all just automatons driven by the inevitable outcomes of interactions between sensors and stimuli.

I'm sure that's what Dutch is talking about. Perhaps in our blind simplicity, we've been unfairly misconstruing Dutch's carefully synthesized ideas for the nonsensical drivel of a sociopath.

But he is a nonsensical drivel of a sociopath. Is he not?

I'm saying that maybe he just sounds that way because he's so much smarter than all of us.

Give him a chance guys!

Sure. He has all the chance in the world. He is Jewish. Heck he can even mass destroy the entire Dutch-Muslim community if he likes since Hitler tried to kill his brethren.

I'm ok with the gun shop owner banning anyone he wishes from buying in his shop, for it's a private business. I don't agree with him stereotyping the way he did though, better if he had kept that thought to himself.

I doubt it
Pretty ****ing sure Dutch is ****ing nuts as ****ing ****.

so let me get this straight.
gender and sexuallity are not a choice but religion is!

a man can believe he is a woman.
but a man cannot believe he is a jew/muslim/christian.
a man cannot believe there is a higher power?

edit: liberal"logic" is the weirdest thing ever.
OMG save the trees, kill the fetus.
gender is a choice, religion is not.

gtfo with your communistic socialist "liberal" crap

Wow....Dutch has reached a new level of, well, hmmm....words can't really express it. Plus I'm a mod so I'm not supposed to call people names that insult their intelligence, or their lack of.

I don't like the idea of a business owner who decides to open his/her business to the public banning anyone for anything other than actions (that are either threatening or disruptive or similar). One of the reasons civil rights exists are business owners who would exert their right to deny their services to people (usually black, but other races/religions/etc. too). I read a biography about Lyndon Johnson, who had a black cook or maid and he wanted the person's family to drive his car from DC to Texas (to transport his dog and some other things). The cook/maid complained that it was a pain in the *** because they weren't allowed to eat many places on the route. That's the sort of crap that civil rights legislation was made for. He used that story (and many others) as a rallying cry for Civil Rights (though in reality his support of them was largely politically driven...like everything in his life).

Part of the deal of opening your business to the public is serving the public.

This is a bull**** double standard. Mods should feel free to be as dickish as everyone else.

Hell yeah. Start by keeping locked threads alive. Oh wait.

simple religion is not a choice!

Good point! Religion is very personal—virtually from birth religious or ethical ideas are implanted in our mind by our parents and relatives. As a consequence, we usually follow the religious ideals of our parents and grandparents. Religion has become almost a matter of family tradition. What is the result of that process? That in many cases others have chosen our religion for us. It has simply been a matter of where we were born and when. Or, as historian Arnold Toynbee indicated, an individual’s adherence to a certain faith is often determined by “the geographical accident of the locality of his birth-place.”

If you were born in Italy or South America, then, without any choice, you were probably raised a Catholic. If you were born in India, then likely you automatically became a Hindu or, if from the Punjab, perhaps a Sikh. If your parents were from Pakistan, then you would obviously be a Muslim.

Serious question...

Why the hell is Dutch here?

I get that sometimes we attract fans of foreign players. But I don't recall the Jazz drafting or signing anyone from his area of Europe.

Religion isn't a choice.

Homosexuality is.

Gotcha.

He's not really Dutch, he just always wanted to stick his finger in a dike.

As we have pointed out, religion or ones religion is usually a matter of birth, not choice! If the country you happen to be born in is mostly Catholic, then your more than likely to embrace Catholicism. If your parents are Catholic, then your more than likely to be a Catholic. If your born in the a Muslim country then your going to be a Muslim, with little choice on your part. Now, being a homosexual or becoming a homosexual is not a matter of birth but of choice or influence. It is a "learned" practice. It is now generally recognized that physical factors, such as body-build or hormones, are not primarily responsible for homosexuality. Homosexuality is caused by the failure of a human being to complete the separation-individuation phase of early childhood, normally achieved by age three, which is decisive for gender identity. Such failure results in a deficit in masculinity for boys, with a corresponding intensification and continuation of the primary feminine identification with the mother. Thus, people are born male or female, but they need to learn to be masculine or feminine, generally by a caring father and mother. A young boy may get started in homosexuality by being seduced by homosexual men. As Hawks swoop down on chickens, the “chickens” are young boys, the “hawks” are adult homosexuals.

I needed the laugh. It was even worth getting blinded by the wall of text. Thank you.

...so your doubting the truthfulness and authenticity of those factual statements?

As an atheist born in a Muslim country to a Muslim family, I enjoy reading what uninformed simpletons have to say on the matter.

So again, I thank you for the entertainment.
