Here's the thing. I don't know anyone that is "pro" abortion. No one wants to abort babies for fun. It comes down to what is best for society, the parents involved and yes the children.

I don't believe that a baby is really anything until it starts moving and kicking, thats just my opinion. Some people think a baby is nothing until its born and some think its something as soon as the sperm hits it. I respect all those opinions. I may disagree with some but I respect anyone's opinion on the subject. It's a difficult topic for sure.

I am "ok" with abortion when done early for a few reasons

1. I don't believe there are spirits or people or what not up in "heaven" just waiting for their chance to come down. So when a baby is aborted I don't see it as a souls one shot to make it to earth being snuffed out. Just my opinion.

2. There is nothing sadder than seeing little kids in crappy situations. Breaks my heart. I only want people that love their kids and are responsible to have babies.

3. There are already enough parentless babies out there. Let's make sure they are taken care of first.

Just my 2 cents for anyone that cares.

And I agree with a lot of what you said. Here's where I'm coming from. I view the fetus as a living human being, and I think it becomes a living human being at conception. So for me, abortion is murder. I just can't support it (unless for medical purposes to save the mother).

With that said, if we defund PP, we need to set up another program to do what they do, except the abortion part. We need to make adoption an easier and cheaper process. We need to promote Foster parenting more. And this is one area where I feel Christians have really failed. We want to talk about abortion a lot, but people don't seem to want to adopt or foster kids. Honestly, my wife and I talked about it before we got married and we are planning on adopting kids in the future. I think I read an article where it said if every professing Christian fostered just one child, they would all be placed in homes. How I wish that would happen.

The distinction for me is that you are PHYSICALLY KILLING an individual life form. The deed is done and life is growing. We live in a world where countless prevention is available to stop life from forming. If you still happen to screw that up you shouldn't have the right to just physically kill it because you don't want it and you made a poor choice.

Thank you Howard. People are so anti abortion but don't want to put their money where their mouth is to help the kids they profess to care so much about. If you expect these women to have kids they don't want you had better be ok raising them yourself.
 
I too am worried about over population and care of the current child population. My wife and I made the decision we would not have more than two kids. We have two daughters and I am snipped. If we want more we will adopt.

I assume you are the same type of person bitching about government funding for contraceptives, and welfare paying to sustain those unwanted kids etc ....

Nope, I am fine with health insurance covering contraceptives/tubes tied/vasectomy. I also believe we shouldn't receive tax credits for having children.

Dude, you're involved in the PHYSICAL KILLING of an individual life form everyday.
 
Men should get a grant/tax credit for having a vasectomy not a tax credit for having 10 kids that they never see. One of the aspects of Planned Parenthood I like is the $100 vasectomy that they offer. But only 9% of US males ever get one.

Planned Parenthood should focus more of their funding on vasectomies(prevention at the source!). Not killing babies and selling their parts illegally.

But if more men received vasectomies that really hurts Planned Parenthood's business plan and their margins......

No I haven't. Probably won't. Not being ok with it won't change anything. Women will still get raped, and pregnant at the wrong time with babies that they don't want.
There will still be too many unadopted babies not receiving the love, attention, and parenting that they need.
There will still be tons of people starving, homeless, addicted to drugs (some of them born addicted to drugs due to drug addict mom's that probably should have gotten an abortion) and sick.

The world will still be over-populated.

I can't see what benefit there would be to me watching the video and getting choked up and sad (im a big sappy softy at heart).

Abortion is legal (and I think it should be) and will continue to happen no matter how sad an abortion video will make me feel.

I love this plan.
I wish more people would get vasectomies and hystetectomies (I think those are the names of the procedures)

Have you watched the videos? or are you just watching the edited clips released? There is quite a difference between the two. I put a link to an unbiased source who evaluated the entire video did you look at that?

There is not evidence of anything illegal being done.

But to answer you question No, I have not watched all of the videos but I have watched about half of the unedited videos but its a lot of footage that is pretty boring to watch. The truth seems important to you maybe you should watch the full videos and read an evaluation from a source without an objective or is proving PP guilty of something illegal at all costs more important to you?

Well success then since 97 percent of what they do is non abortion and have not been proven of anything illegal.
