GAME THREAD: Jazz at Hawks 11/15/2015 6pm EST

We can't be a playoff team/win close games with Hayward playing like this season in general.

I mean, just compare last year's down to wire games to this year... This year, all you see is Jazz coming short, blowing 6-8 point leads.

Still, great job by Derrick and Rodney.

Should the Rockets panic and trade James Harden who is shooting 37% and turning the ball over 5 times a game so far this year?
Players have bad entire months. It happens.

It sucks, but I think a lot of Hayward's struggles have to do with the paint being clogged when Rudy is in.

If Favors stays money on that midrange jumpshot, that will certainly help.

Look, i accept that it was a huge overreaction but did you feel good when Millsap was about to take a wide open shot to win the game?
The cavs game, heat game, piston game?

We lost all of the above. And we were really lucky today. With a normal Gordon, those 3 would all be wins, if not 2 of 3.

So calm down and understand that Gordon will be okay. Not a big worry although I agree he must play better.

Hood seems to focus on shooting at the expense of finding the open man sometimes.

Ya I like hood and think he has a good skillset and is a good player but he is kind of a ball hog

I agree with you. The Jazz continuing to make the same mistakes down the stretch. You can't waste so easily 6-8 point lead in the last 5 minutes.

That's not the problem. He was fine last year wasn't he?

The problem is that Hayward's arms are too big yo!

He messed up his shot by bulking up more. He needs to stop lifting for a while.

As far as the trade Hayward talk goes..... I'm down with trading him depending on who we get in the trade.
Could say that about all of our players tbh

You can build upper body strength without messing up your shot.

Hood seems to focus on shooting at the expense of finding the open man sometimes. He had a good game, but our offense stagnates a bit on his one on one moves. Finally, we need to start the offense much faster. Starting our sets w 10 sec on the shot clock is not ideal IMO.

I think sometimes we forget Hood has played less than 60 NBA games. He'll improve his decision making. If Burks can do it, Hood can.

Well, yeah, I'd trade Hayward for, say, Paul George.

Hayward + Lyles for Georgy boi

Truth. He's the player we have the most right to hold accountable for when he plays with such lack of energy and no attitude of any kind. I understand having bad shooting nights, but where's the Hayward that hustles back to block shots from behind? The Hayward that drives strong to the rim when his open shots aren't falling to at least get going somehow? I just don't see the same Hayward. I hope he proves me wrong and starts beasting like he has in the past, but we as Jazz fans have all the right to get frustrated under these circumstances what can I say.

Pull your head out of your clacker mate.

Of course, I was just stating some things that could be improved

In all honesty, we'd be so ****ing good with George rather than Hayward. Our 3-5 defense would be insane. Our 3-5 length and athleticism would be insane. We'd have the alpha/clutch guy we've longed for.
