Definitely doesn't have Hayward's ability to get to the line, but it's not as if you can't succeed in the league without having that skill in college. Paul George being the first example that comes to mind. A bit better than Uthoff, but still not that good. Rodney Hood is another.

Anyone else worried about Skal? Has there been a 6'11" player in the NCAA who was as bad at rebounding as him that became a successful NBA player? He's averaging 3.9RPG...

KAT had a 18.5TRB%, Kaminsky had a 16.1TRB%, Skal has a 9.6TRB%

Is he fast enough to defend 4s in the NBA? We already know he's too weak to bang with 5s...He got abused by Marshall Plumlee so I can't imagine what someone like Drummond would do to him. Obviously it's still super early and he's still young (though he's old for a freshman at almost 20 years old), but I just have a bad feeling about him.

Chad Ford has the Jazz taking Caris Levert in his latest mock, which I would be cool with. I like Levert, but I think he's going to work his way into the late lottery by the end of the season.

Easily,Skal's quick for someone that size, agile, he's remarkably fluid in some of his movements, so he's a natural.. Not Worried about Skal, at-all, others are certainly building a better case for the #1 pick - He's still got a case though, and thats plenty. He'll rebound just fine as a pro, it's a product of circumstance and that he's a bit raw in some areas.

I'd be interested to see what you think of LaVerts performance from the the Michigan-Dayton replay on watchespn the other day, it's a horror show from LaVert, outa nowhere too. I know he's been playing/shooting well. If you like LaVerts game, I'm confident you'll like Patrick McCaw, who I prefer at this point, similarly builds and skillsets too. He's a sophomore and just turned 20, he has the same birthday as me - and I'm lucky as ****.

True (though Hood has some solid FTA numbers at Duke), I'm watching him right now.

In the limited minutes I have watched, barely any, they seem to be playing him as a PF on offense who can take spot up 3's? Does he have the perimeter play-making ability or ability to work a PNR?

When I've seen him in the past, which isn't much either, he has shown those skills. But again, I haven't seen much, so take the Hayward comparison lightly. PGAB probably knows more.
 
Uthoff seems more Luke Babbit than Gordon Hayward, to me at least. Though like I said, barely watched at all.
 
Not a good 2nd half for Uthoff. Seems like if he had perimeter skills they would isolate him on the perimeter vs Niang rather than posting him.
 
Ok I changed over to the game. Uthoff kinda broke out last season, I've been checking in on him since, he's worth seeing in my book. Obviously the best prospect on Iowa.

He's a stretch 4, with possible translatable SF skills, kinda sorta in the mold of a Kyle Singler.. He's also a legitimately seasoned, reliable college player used to being the #1 option. He's very mobile and fairly light on his feet, obviously he doesn't weigh all that much. His shooting is legit, he's got a series of fakes and stuff, he means business when he's got the ball. Not really like a rhythm player either, he's just solid..

Uthoff's got decent lateral quicks and stuff like that. 6'9" and a 6'10" wingspan -- So its the same drill as Isaac Copeland, he's kinda best served as a SF given his body type, it's not out of the question though.. Not a great passer by any stretch, he's not bad, heady player, and relatively mistake free for a high usage player. There's alot to like. He was obviously going to get on a SL team and on a preseason squad, going into this year.

He's a shot maker and his 3pt shots been better than ever so far. I'm not surprised by this result at all...

Sucks that I missed the 30 point half version of Uthoff and only tuned in for the 2pt half version of Uthoff who just committed a huge turnover.
 
Georges Niang is probably my favorite college player who I have absolutely no interest in as a NBA prospect. Going to be a boss in Europe though.
