Why are his minutes so low? Seems like he should be getting more playing time.
Is he getting in foul trouble or something?

I don't know I watched few games.

It seems he is fine with that role at the moment.

He is playing with confidence, probably because his teammates trust him.

aether34: Why do you ignore what he can do best

Did you miss this part? "Kanter is a top tier post scorer and offensive rebounder."

(Kanter) is 4th in the NBA in finding the acorn (.576 %)
Also Kanter is #79 in (+/-) Gobert #80 and Favors #318
Kanter's PER is #6 behind #1Curry,#2Westbrook,#3Durant,#4Leonard,#5James
Kanter's TS% is #3 behind #1 Curry ,#2 Durant

talk these stats down as loser stats ,meaningless stats.

Dude, please pay attention to the conversation. No one buy you is debating his scoring ability. You are violently disagreeing with nobody.

.That points given up is pointless if your team is the top offense in the NBA when your playing and your outscoring the other teams with point differential comparable to the other top two teams in the League.

Name me an NBA championship team with a the top offense and a poor defense. I won't be holding my breath.

It's never cease to amaze me how many Jazz players who we have let walked and are doing really well right now...

Paul Millsap
Wesley Matthews
Kyle Korver
DeMarre Carroll
CJ Miles
Kosta Kuofus

Not saying Kanter is on that list but... never say never I guess.

What is combined salary of these 2nd round buster of a team? We let each walk for a reason you know.

Gods i am tired of hearing posters like GVC and NUMBERICA claim we will have a title if we kept all that superb talents.

I have no illusions, if Kanter would or could've excepted the first big off the bench role getting 20min a night (like he is in OKC), I'm sure the Jazz would've loved keeping him but he wasn't. He was getting played and used more here in UT then he is currently in OKC and the Jazz weren't going to pay him what he is getting now.

The difference is he just was not happy here for whatever the reason he just didn't want to be here period. Now playing on a team with Durant and Westbrook and just growing up and getting older along with now this year getting what is it 16mil he's probably pretty happy good for him.

Can we move along now.

The only real difference between OKC Kanter and Utah Kanter is his mid range jump shot. He is now deadly from 10-16' at 51.4%. They also scrapped the idea of him shooting 3's, which has probably contributed favorably to his +/-.

Kanter was bad in +/- last year and now that he looks really good on that front people are refering to RPM instead.

ALso people seem to stop refering to nylon calculus for rim protection as Kanter has greatly improved in that area as well (although still not good).

At the end of the time at least two playoff caliber teams regarded Kanter as a max contract player and he has improved from there despite what the media and fans say.

Some straw man...

I've consistently referred to real/regularized +/-, as raw +/- is not nearly as useful. The same goes for the player tracking rim protection stats (I have no idea what nylon calculus is), where Kanter is currently 68th of 91 players who have defended 100+ shots near the rim (several of those below him are perimeter players). It's also worth mentioning that the quality of players shooting at the rim is almost certainly lower for those coming off the bench.

Try again, fanboy.
