My older brother who passed away was friends with Steve-O. He hung out with him and took him to dinner a week before he died. He would always tell me that although Steve-O was a jackass, he has a good heart.

There's a big *** command and control space ship in the movie. The marines take it out with one missile and make it seem like they were geniuses they came up with the idea of shooting the ship with a missile and then make a point of letting the world know how to take them out.(like on Independence Day) Also, at the begging of the movie, the aliens were unstoppable, then they conveniently find out their heart is located at the same place where our heart is - by the end of the movie, 2 dudes are driving away a group of aliens without cover and with some pistols. Fail, movie writers, fail.

No way it could be worse then Skyline. We had gone to Long Beach, CA for some training and were due to fly back two days before Thanksgiving. Due to the snowstorm we got stuck in the LBC Airport and walked to the closest mall as our flight was delayed for eight hours. We found a movie theatre and our choices were slim for the mattinee so we picked Skyline. Very likely the worst movie I ever spent money on. I long for someone to make a decent alien invasion flick.

Two things I hate in life. 1) Battle L.A. 2) One uppers.
 
First, repped Archie for that one...very nice.


Second, one of the worst movies I have ever seen for writing was Armageddon. They completely lost me at the line "get me the best oil drillers in the world!" Really? I mean we all know who they are, they are like household names. These guys are like rock stars, with groupies and everything. I imagine they just watched the most recent "Best Oil Drillers" competition that beat out the Superbowl for TV ratings to pick who to bring on the trip with them.\

And this quote really sums up the whole movie:

And this is the best that you c - that the-the government, the *U.S. government* can come up with? I mean, you-you're NASA for cryin' out loud, you put a man on the moon, you're geniuses! You-you're the guys that think this **** up! I'm sure you got a team of men sitting around somewhere right now just thinking **** up and somebody backing them up! You're telling me you don't have a backup plan, that these eight boy scouts right here, that is the world's hope, that's what you're telling me?

It's like the Firecracker analogy.
A firecracker in the open hand, will burn you, but a firecracker in a closed hand will blow your hand off.

You need oil drillers when dealing with firecrackers.

Saw "Red" and was expecting a bit more of a over the top dumb action movie then it was, don't get me wrong it was an over the top action movie in parts but it also had more of a story then I thought it would, it was worth watching if you like action movies IMO.

I also saw "Machete" and it is what I thought it was a way over top in a funny way action movie, and boy howdie it had some unexpected T&A for that a lone it was worth the watch.

I'm pretty sure that's a reality show on TLC.

I don't know it has the word "drill" in it, maybe for the double entendre it would run on MTV.
