C.J McCollum available?

I think Plumlee is sufficient.

I think they need a PF scoring threat though. Their offense is too predictable, predicated around Lillard and McCollum. They need a 3rd dimension scoring threat down low.

Buck's Plumlee is a worse Plumlee than the Plumlee they already have, the Plumlee that is a part of the worst defense in the NBA.

I'm talking about the Plumlee they already have is sufficient.

I've moved on to talk about a low post scoring threat I think they need.

How he is sufficient if their defense is last in the NBA? Why do they need low post scoring when they already have a top scoring offense? I'm completely confused by your logic.

If they did it I think it would be to move into full rebuild... so it would be a couple high rated 1st rounders.

This isn't even a rumor though... 100 pure speculation. I'm not sure we are even a great fit.

No, full rebuild would be trading Lillard, the guy who prevents them from ever being bad enough to truly tank. Trading McCollum would just be a smart move to capitalize on an asset who is redundant to your best player. It's not even like a Steph/Klay thing where Klay can actually guard people. They both can't D up anyone.

I think Favors for McCollum makes some sense. CJ could play 15 minutes at backup PG which means we wouldn't always have an undersized backcourt. I know you're saying we have Exum, but its looking like he is 2-3 years away. Going to be a slow developer that is clear. McCollum is making a ton but Favors next contract is going to be even bigger than that due to his years in the league. Are the Jazz comfortable paying Favors 28, 30, 32, 34m? There is also the chance Favors straight up walks.

I think it removes them from the playoff picture and they hope the assets would be the second fiddle next to Dame. Favs would be a lateral move imo for them. Favs and Hood is an overpay... I think they'd be looking at Boston and doing smart and a bkn pick, or Orlando for Gordon, super Mario, and a pick. Something like that that improves their upside. So not a full rebuild but a step back with the hope for higher upside I guess.

I don't see them doing anything though.

I definitely disagree, as long as they got a good athletic big man in the trade. Their offense is going to be top 10 as long as they have Lillard surrounded by shooters and athletes.

I like Orlando as a trade partner.

Biyombo, Gordon, and Mario for CJ and Vonleh? I think that is a good trade for both sides, right?

I would want more if I was Porty... 1st round pick this year. Mario can't get on the floor and Gordon has proven enough. CJ is a young all star level player on an expensive, but long deal.

Considering the cost of acquiring the players I think I'd be more interested in the other players in the article.

I think CJ would cost more than Boogie, but there are some significant risks there obviously.

No way would they give up a 1st round pick this year, Orlando going to get a top 10 pick.

IDK why everyone acting like CJ is this insane basketball player. He doesn't play defense.

Aaron Gordon is a higher ceiling player, Biyombo gives them a defensive center piece, and Hezonja is another high talent player. Gordon/Biyombo should help them defensively in creating a more aggressive style.

Their GM is trying to save his job. They have so many parts that don't fit it is hard to see how good they are. CJ is the best player of that group now and likely in the future. I can't tell if Gordon is a tweener or being used out of position, but let's not act like he's been great. Mario has been horrendous. Biyombo is overpaid imo.
