Utah Jazz's Jeff Withey Accused of Domestic Violence By Playmate Ex-Girlfriend

Utah Jazz center Jeff Withey has been accused of domestic violence in a police report filed by his Playboy Playmate of the Year ex-fiancee, Kennedy ...

Full Story...

So, That seems weird to me. The only reason she's doing this now is that he's in a playoff series in LA where she is so she needs to protect herself now? What, she didn't need to when it first happened?? Says she also filed charges to prevent him from harming anyone else. If this is the case, why didn't she file charges when it first happened. Weather he's guilty or not. She's given him ample time to harm other women. I just don't get people sometimes.

Our law enforcement sources tell us cops were called to an incident involving Withey and Summers last year, but no report was made at the time and nobody was arrested

This tells you all you need to know.

You should never take these allegations likely but considering the source this reeks of attention grabbing BS.

Just an aging (poorly) model trying to stay relevant.

First, domestic violence is a very complicated thing. Depending on the depth and severity the trauma can cause all kinds of erratic behavior, and it often takes the victim a long time to gather the courage and/or support to actually take steps to get out of the relationship. It should never be taken lightly.

That said, what the everloving **** is going on with her lips? It looks like 2 fat bald caterpillars died there. And I bet if they keep cutting away at it they can make her nose appear invisible from the right angle. Keep cutting baby! Bizarre what some people deem "beautiful". I guess to each his/her own, but damn.

a person he was obsessed with who dumped him. If she is a POS what does that say about him?

Is this really what some of these people are after in terms of looks?

I hope this isn't true. But I also hope that posters to this discussion board don't embarrass themselves and this board in general by resorting to the same good ol' boy old tactics of attacking the accuser or questioning her motives. Sadly, I already see it going in this direction.

Women and other people who are victims of sexual harrassment or abuse don't follow some script dictated to them by men or by irrational fans of some sports team on how they should act, when they should report it, how they should feel, what actions they should take, etc. This woman and her charges deserve to be taken seriously until there's a good reason they should not. So far, I don't see that, and neither do any of you. So please don't take this direction one might, sadly, expect it to take.

The timing of this seems reasonably suspicious. It happened a year ago and he has games in the LA area since then.

But with these kind of cases you never really know. Hopefully a thorough investigation is done and if he did do it charges are filed. I wonder how the Jazz FO will respond to this.

Was he obsessed with her? I haven't been following this ordeal too closely, lol.

I never said she was a POS; she may or may not be. Other than looking at her Instagram pics one day for about 15 minutes I know absolutely nothing about her. But I think we've all seen this before - she's not an actor, she's not a singer, she's not a dancer - she's only known for her looks. This is how people like this stay relevant.

Well all we know is the cops were called to an incident. There is no report. For all we know SHE was the aggressor.

Sincerely,
Ray Rice

And for all we know HE was the aggressor.

So what's your point?

So are you suggesting Ray Rice was justified in cold cocking his girlfriend?

Again, what's your point?

At the same time we've seen many times pro athletes being targeted by women looking for attention and money. Then look at the timing and the reasons for filing charges, which I mentioned in an earlier post. I also mentioned not understanding people's logic in how they handle things. If it was so important for her to keep other women safe from men who beat women, then she shouldn't have waited a year. If he's guilty he should get what's coming to him, but he's innocent until proven guilty last I checked.
