All three back-up PGs suck! None of them would give the Jazz any "advantage", so to speak, while on court. Mack thinks he is a scorer and is slow as molasses on defense. Exum doesn't do anything well and is impaired by a lack of intensity and/or concentration - even on defense -, which pretty much negates any advantage that his alledged athleticism brings. Although Neto is intense, he's also too limited in every way.
The discussion about which of them should play more is like debating whether one should prefer to have food poisoning by eating rotten meat or by drinking toilet water.
IMO, none of the three back-up PGs should play at all, if possible. It is clear that Hill can't play the whole 48 minutes, but it also doesn't make sense keeping saving Hill. Saving him for what? For a long vacation after being elimated in the first round? Hill should play as much as possible, matching up against Paul every second Paul is on the floor. When Paul is out, the Jazz can use a bigger line-up. Either Hood, Hayward or even Joe Johnson can bring the ball up court and initiate the offense. Defensively, Hood or Hayward may be able to match up against Feldon, who is quite fat at this point, or Austin Rivers, who is really limited and is coming from injury.
