All gun control advocates please Report here!

So answer the ****ing question.

Is that what he was talking about in that quote?

Yamamoto was a genius who pretty much nailed every prediction he made about the war. You think he was worried about America's privately held firearms?

Stop being so ****ing dumb.

YES HE WAS!

the germans also said ti taken the aminland will be har dand dangerous, it wont be easy to just subdue a whole town with 4 -8 armed soldiers!

in franc ethey litterlayy held towns occupied with just 4-8 soldiers!

seriously are u telling me i could come to America as a foreign power, take over Washington. and then proceed to hold population of certain suburbs etc with just 4-8 soldiers really you think that?

really! i just have to send 4-8 soldiers and 1 tank to every small town american town! lolz! i could take on 4 soldiers trying to hold a town on my own, if i have a just a simple handgun!
but you are telling me to occupy that town 4-8 soldiers is enough! hahahahahahahahahahaha who is ****ing dumb now!
ask any person who knows about combat and guerilla warfare how easy it is to take back your town and neighbouring towns if all they have is 4-8 soldiers an maybe a tank! go ahead tell me!

i know the left is banning and burning books elft and right maybe you should read some nazi books to see what held those ******** back!

i have talked to old guys who where young teenagers during the war in Holland Belgium and France! first hand accounts of how germans held massive cities and small towns! what they did to the local populace! how the populace was neutered because even if they could take down 1 soldier they wouldn't know how to use the soldiers gun! americans half of em atleast know how to use a gun! if their are 8 occupying sodliers in a town working in shift of 2-3 every 8 ghours it would be real easy to take em down and disarm them and turn their weapons on em if you know how to use em! read this from german books, and also local dutch/belgian books. also heard first hand accounts from old people my grnadfather in law lives in a town near the german border a small town near venlo! which was some of the few to get takenover, he has these old en over on poker nights and such and you hear the stories first hand about how a few soldiers held down the whole town, and they could do nothing openly. they did talk about stuff like stealing food from them. or this one time they horsenapped a german commander his horse and slaughtered the horse in someones basement for food! but no open Resistance!

problem is guns where stigmatized all along Europe average joes didn't know how to use em! trust me whenever i take people with me to the gun range for the first time they don't even know how it works! they don't know how a gun works how to use it and how to counter it!

they see this gun as a mighty powerful weapon they cannot wield, totally ignorant to it's effective range! they think they will get mowed down if they rise up and become greater than their cucked self

take another example remember a bunch of guys boarding a trian in amsterdam to paris, then they pulled out ak47 and thought they would race hell on the neutered people of europe. well they miscalculated their where a bucnh of marines, who know the rate of fire, and effective range of those ak47 and took those guys down! https://www.rt.com/news/313064-train-kalashnikov-shoot-paris/ only saved because those men understood guns did not fear them!

also i am not stupid to know that guns are not the only reason it is hard to conquer USA as a foreign power with just military manpower, even if a nuke would land on washington and 90% of federal politicians gone! america has a federal system and local governing system that would also have to be beaten. but the federal army would not be united to fight if certain strategic bases where to be hit!

so it is not stupid to say that guns in every hand stopped or prevented an invasion if there are other factors like governing system.

so don't call me dumb, because i have practical knowledge of close qtr combat and guerilla warfare! and knowledge of all kind of history straight from the horse his mouth(not much from japan but enough from netherlands, belgium and germany!)

also if you tell me that i could take those small towns with just 4--8 soldiers i heavily overestimated "the liberty or death" mentality of the american folks, i know some beta towns would be taken pretty easily! and cities might need a different treatment than 4-8 soldiers

but if you tell me the supermajority of towns could be taken easily then yes i overestimated the molon labe crowd. and so did the nationalsozialisten(aka Nazi) and Japanese or the average american town became more beta or cucked over the decades

Let me clear something up, Dutch.

I think the U.S. gun culture is an underrated military advantage. And when I say underrated, I think it is massively underrated, because I think it is a major advantage. And while I think there are advantages as far as a mainland invasion, that's not something that would even happen because the U.S. has a military that would never allow that to happen.

I was in the U.S. Navy, which is not a small arms focused branch of the military. They are about their shipboard guns and missile systems and I specialized in shipboard defensive weapons, specifically the RAM (Rolling Air-frame Missile) missile system and CIWS (Close-in Weapon System) as well as the NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System. I worked in the same division as the NATO Sea Sparrow guys, but that was not my weapon system. On my ship I worked on the RAM system. Anyway, all that to say, the Navy does not have good small arms training for the majority of sailors.

I mention that because in the Navy I spent some time assigned to shipboard security, and in that role I got qualifications to carry the 9mm hand gun, the 12 gauge shotgunn (500A Mossberg), the M16 rifle, the M60 machine gun and to man the mounted 50cal gun. Because I got perfect scores on my gun quals I was selected to be a member of the ship's IRT (Initial Response Team) that responded to any shipboard emergency including hostile boarding and the VBSS (Visit Board Search and Seizure) team that would board vessels to look for contraband. I was literally shocked by the training that preceded the live fire qualification. They basically said the trigger is here, the sights are here, this is what the sight picture should look like, this is how you load a magazine and this is how you might want to stand. Next day you do a live fire qualification.

So what does U.S. gun culture have to do with this? Everything. Most of us didn't need basic gun training. We grew up with guns. We had shot guns. We could have passed this test day one of boot camp.

The U.S. military doesn't teach people how to shoot. It recruits people who already know how to shoot. People who have more firearms experience than any military could ever afford to provide to each enlistee.

You can see it in the videos of Army soldiers in the field. They know how to handle a firearm. The military may have refined their skills, but the military didn't teach them how to shoot. Their dad or uncle or grandpa did.

No other nation recruits people more capable of handling small arms on day one than the U.S. does. No one.

But don't say that Yamamoto, one of the greatest military minds in human history, was talking about that in his quote. He wasn't. Naval warfare isn't won with small arms. In the Navy we call guns what anyone else calls cannons. So unless you are firing 3" rounds, at a minimum, put you little gun away and watch the show.

If you watch the video, the R2D2 like dome houses an independent search radar and track radar, the gun is a 20mm Vulcan cannon which is also the mounted gun on the F-18 Super Hornet.

Are you talking about thriller or dutch? Seriously.

Mods once again, I struggle to see how LG's insulting posts contribute to the civil discussion outlined in the rules section of this website.

I've PMed you about this issue and have not received a response. Perhaps bringing this issue up publicly might entice someone to respond? I'm trying to figure out why these rules aren't being enforced consistently. Are some members treated differently because you agree with their political agenda? Some public clarification might be necessary! Thanks!

So because you got me all nostalgic you get a bonus video and a dumb story.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xvo7Mb9EwJY

So my ship, the USS Nimitz (CVN 68)a nuclear powered aircraft carrier for which the Nimitz Class is named, was the first to receive the RAM system to replace the CIWS system. We were also the first carrier to get the SSDS (Ship's Self Defense System) which tied us into the AEGIS system used by our destroyers and cruisers. So, we were the testing platform for these new upgrades. And I benefited from that because we did several live fire exercises to prove the functionality of these new systems. I was assigned to the ship just before they started undergoing these tests. I ultimately held pretty much every enlisted role a person could perform in relation to the firing of the RAM system connected to the SSDS system. I have pushed the fire button on the console from within the Combat Direction Center on the order of the ship's Tactille Action Officer, I have been on the flight deck hilding telemetry equipment for the Raytheon engineers while the missile fired, I have been the work center supervisor of the RAM work center manning the comms between the Combat Systems Control Center, to the people in the launcher sponson, to the person sitting at the console in the Combat Direction Center. I have loaded the RAM launcher several dozen times.

Here I am loading the launcher with my buddy Dilio
Ram_030316-N-2143T-003.jpg

So anyway, the first time I was involved with a live fire exercise I was assigned to hold telemetry equipment on the flight deck and manually use it to follow the flight path of the missile. We had some random officer assigned to supervise this, along with the ships photographers there to take pictures. The guy I was with who was from my division was Petty Officer Bloodworth. We were firing at a drone. There was an issue with the launch and we didn't end up firing the first time. The drone had to cut power and turn around. As it did that it started to sputter. It was within view at that time and we heard it as it started sputtering. The officer, who was not part of the Combat Systems department and definitely not in my division (the Weapons Division), freaked the **** out and yelled "It's coming in! Take cover!" and he hid behind a flight deck crane and the photographers jumped behind whatever they could find. Petty Officer Bloodworth and I exchanged an amused glance and continued directing our telemetry equipment towards the drone as it made a turn and headed back to shore.

Good times.

What do you take offense to here?

You're pretty ****ing horrible. You've attacked Log because you mistakenly assume he's a Trump supporter when he's not. Why shouldn't you get banned?

Dutch thinks he gets in trouble because he's a conservative and you think you get in trouble because you're a liberal.

Maybe you're both just douchbags?

In a thread of 14 posts, 7 of them are from you, 3 of them disparage the thread, and 1 is a crap emoticon. Just who exactly are you having a discussion with???

OK, kiddos. I know the public schools and Big Bird have created a new kind of educated society based on communitarianism. What's that? It the new lingo among the elitists and managers who use bought-and-paid-for NGOs and all kinds of local "interest groups" to simulate an open society where supposed real people get to have a say in how they're governed. Go to any "reputatable" progressive website. It's the newspeak for "proletariat" or whateverthehell is supposed be the good people, not the "deplorables" who oughtta just be raped, pillaged, thrown in the gulag, or gunned down in long deep trenches Pol Pot style because they're noncompliant or useless eaters instead of heros for the inevitable new world the good people dream of.

According to the Thrillers, it's not really a "discussion" if it's not producing sheeples who all believe what they're being told. And people who disagree are not really "human" after all, because they're just "deplorables".

After all how can a student get a passing grade in "civics" if he is noncompliant?????

So Dutch, of course, is a raving lunatic who, if he could be found in his hiding place... oh, no not really in Holland or South America or Israel, but in his mom's basement in Indianapolis I'd say, should be treated by professionals for his uncivil remarks in JazzFanz.

nah, everything is fine in Venezuela. The place had too many people, and the guvmint is doing right to just hold the course. Pretty soon it will have the right population. No progressive worth his guvmint stipend or his webz dominance change-agent gig being paid $15/hr by some philanthropists for maintaining the politically correct views will have any problem with Venezuela's progress.

What we really need to do is let oh maybe two million radical Islamists into the United States to drive bomb trucks into Macy's, rape and pillage our suburbs, and blow up about every place where there's too many people. This is a great plan because it not only deflects the population bomb's fastest growing demographic and places them in US cities close to Planned Parenthood offices and into day jobs working as slaves for the meatpackers, but it will reduce the United States "native" population as well.

This is exactly what the meeting recently was all about:

https://www.wnd.com/2009/05/99105/

The reason Venezuela is not a world crisis or the focus of humanitarian efforts like US helicopters dropping food and medical supplies is just this:

Everything is going as planned, under budget, and right on target. The only question is which overpopulated country to do next.

As for Dutch's question, we have an example in the Philippines of how people without guns, protesting against then-President Ferdinand Marcos, a Rockefeller figurehead, won out. Corazon Acquino, the wife of the murdered Ninoy Acquino, who had lived for two years in Massachussets in the home of Sen. Ted Kennedy, became the next President of the Philippines.

What is required for protests to actually work for a change in the government? Well, Filipinos did have some guns, nobody knew how many. But the overt murder by Marcos thugs of a popular political leader resulted in massive, overwhelming demands for Marcos to step down, and even the military really was on the side of the people.

Not only do Venezuelans not have guns, they have no charismatic leader of such overwhelming popularity. Oh, there could've been one, but anyone who started gaining any recognition was pro-actively eliminated by the guvmint, which this time had US Democratic Party and Presidential support.

People should have the right to die with dignity, not just starve or be gunned down on the streets. I thought the Liberals could agree on that, what with all the laws they advocate about people's rights to die by suicide. Suicide by cop or military peacekeepers is one way, but for the sake of efficiency in population reduction, people should at least have Kool-Aid.

guns are just not a necessity, really. Except for the security personnel guvmint Bigs like to keep close by.

( Crickets )

OK, now for a serious reply.

Though I like Bullets view on significant arms and his appreciation of the value of a populace competent with small arms, I believe Dutch understands Venezuela in seriously the right context. The Venezuelans had small arms( in lesser numbers I believe than the US, but the gun control law went into effect precisely because the government did not want to deal with that kind of static. I think it goes hard on the paid military to counter domestic civilian small arms, especially with bigger weapons.

So, yes, gun control is an objective of some authoritarian sorts of aspiring leaders with ideas about changing things. It would have cowed the government of Venezuela.

It would cow a Hillary or an Obama or a Trump with big ideas, too.

So I am absolutely in favor of 2nd Amendment, regardless of nuclear weapons or any Naval capacities. I'm in an Air Force exercise zone, and I get to see bombers and fighters at low altitude all the time, even missiles. The nice folks of the USAF, some significant-looking brass, came driving down my road to politely ask if they could take pictures so they could program their toys to miss me.

Hell yeah. But more importantly, it's knowing they respect the people that makes it all good.

actually, we've been SWAMPED - with eliminating all sorts of profanity filter violations wherever they occur, it's a pretty draining process TBPHWY

and FWIW we have issued various warnings and infractions of which the general JF community has no knowledge since it's not apparent to anyone other than the recipient - unless you have the misfortune of receiving a third active inflation and others see your name appear in the "Tell us who got banned" thread

Handgun? Bitch ya need to get a Barrett 50 cal an a ghillie suit. I could take out a hole platoon of them ******** before they knew where shots were coming from. I'd go Quigly Down Under on em an pop em off 2-3 at a time.

Did you know the Barrett 50cal is not intended as an anti-personnel weapon. If you wanna be a sniper there are far better options. I mean, unless you're talking about playing Call of Duty, which is probably what you're talking about.

You wanna come over an test it out as a target? I can pull the .338 out after.

You wanna come over an test it out as a target? I can pull the .338 out after.

Sure, here's how we'll do it. I get 30 min head start. I run several miles into the woods. You try to lug the 50 cal along as you chase me. If you do find me you'll be too exhausted to fire an accurate shot and I'll get away.

Most the longest recorded snipes are Barrett M82 or McMillan 50 cals. Better options my arse when are highly trained an technical military people prefer them. That's like telling a cop to pack a 22 pistol.
