2017 Draft Thread

hard not being extremely on board with the trade for Mitchell.

The trade for Bradley is just interesting. I didn't follow this draft so I didn't really have an opinion of one player over another that late into the game.

I trust Dennis though.
 
It's interesting that the Jazz would make the trade to move up just two spots. It could be that Favors is in a trade and the Jazz strongly feel they need Bradley to play that backup 5 role to make their plan work. They might have thought San Antonio would take him and wanted to make sure they secure him. That's really the only rationale.

Chad Ford had Bradley ranked as a top 20 prospect on his Big Board.
 
I like the pick but would have come up two more for malik monk
 
Since it seems we have a bit of a hole at the 4 right now I'd still be looking for teams looking for future picks, lots of guys who look very usable left Bell/Semi in particular. Maybe even Bolden or Motley.
 
We still need to make a trade before July 1st to help keep Hayward. Rookies dont help you win much which is what Hayward cares about. I am surprised we kept 2 first round picks. I hope something bigger is in the works. Or Hayward has said he is staying and they can wait to make trades later.

Players like Mitchell will outdo the performance of the Boris Diaw and Shelvin Mack types from the previous season, mind you.

It'll be interesting to see what happens-- will we let George go, and roll out with Dante/Mitchell/Hood/Hayward/Ingles/Favors/Rudy as our core more or less?? Or will we double down and go for a True or George Hill while trying to shore up Gordon?

Either way, with Donovan Mitchell here we really need to somehow get Alec Burks the hell off of this team. I have trouble figuring out how we do that without taking back some mega contract, sigh.
