I think I want Ingles out with the starters but either way is fine.
No, it's not fine.
We'd almost never score with that lineup.

He's too good to be a two way contract dude imo. If he takes that deal his max is like 25% of what he could make on a guaranteed minimum deal.
Lol. Good pointThat is a bad bet... if you lose you are down a nut and the process to extract said nut can't be fun... if you win you just won a nut... bad deal by you.
I think waiving Diaw decreased the likely hood of anything happening before the season starts.
Jazz open the season with this:
Gobert/Jerebko/Bradley
Favors/JJ/Udoh/Bolomboy
Ingles/Sefolosha
Hood/Mitchell/Burks
Rubio/Exum/Neto
I'm aware this probably isn't a perfect depth chart.
So, because Bradley is not a 2-way guy though probably a G-League guy, the Jazz would have to give Griffin a 2-way contract?
Yeah unless a trade comes along that the Jazz really like I think we're done for the most part.
I see us on opening night with the following lineup unless something happens
Gobert/Udoh
Favors/Johnson/Jerebko
Ingles/Sefolosha
Hood/Mitchell/Burks
Rubio/Exum
Not suiting up
13- Neto
14- Bradley
15- Bolomboy or Griffin
Two way contract
16- Williams-Goss
My only question is do they keep Bolomboy or do they sign Griffin? Or do they keep Bolomboy AND sign Griffin? Having both just seems a little redundant to me.
Why give NGW a two way?
He's awful.
Because the Jazz like him. It's going to happen.

What is a horizon anyways. It could mean by tomorrow. It could mean by next year. Pretty subjective if you ask me.
Saying something is on the horizon is a way to claim credit but not take any blame.

Relative to what tho?As it was Windhorst's claim on a podcast a couple days ago that prompted this thread, it should be noted that his words were "Utah is primed to make a deal here RELATIVELY SOON."
The Knicks just got their GM. There really is no deadline anymore on potentially getting a trade done. It could happen anytime. I don't think Diaw's contract was the difference between being able to get a deal done or not.

I think we are involved... teams were pissed they took the trade of the board for now... they probably told people that we need to get our new GMs opinion before finalizing this. We knew at that point we weren't getting anything done by the contract guarantee date. He wasn't necessary but if there was something close we probably keep it there just in case.
I think it's funny that some posters think two guys signed here just to never play... sefolosha made sense as we needed a 3 but as constituted we wouldn't play Udoh much at all and Jonas would get 5 minutes a night maybe. I think these guys likely had better options than spot minutes in Utah.
