no suprise here borther! everyone who has a right wing ideology is trollin and derailing threads!

sounds totalitarian to me!

But this thread isn't about right wing ideology or left wing ideology, is it?

Or at least it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be about an investigation.

I mean **** guys... forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds here, but I'd really just like to discuss what's going on with the investigation when I open this thread. Not what Hillary had for supper before she raped an 11 year old nigerian boy, cut off his sack, and wore it to bed that night over her russian made, cyborg left hand.

We are 154 pages (on my screen at least) into this thread. No internet forum discussion is going to stay exclusively on target for that long. Other elements will be introduced. I see this Fusion GPS stuff as an extension of the original investigation. It's all connected by Russia. Keep the Trump stuff, sure. But other tangents will be introduced.

Now that there's a publicized, confirmed connection, sure. Let's talk about it.

There wasn't one as of the 20th.

Infact, wasn't it me that first mentioned the first documented and reasonably confirmed connection between the DNC and the dossier?

I don't see how I was being partisan for calling donnie out for his shotgunning approach.

Mine is 154 pages too!! We have so much in common!

That was my first thought but also context matters and apparently that is derailing to an alt-leftist who was completely unaware of well known facts.

Alt-leftists have no problem with selective law enforcement based on ideological lines, or stifling free speech. They get upset when someone gives facts that go against their narrative. They have no respect for basic human rights and this Trump Russiagate thing is nothing short of a display of their utter hypocrisy.

*waves ******** flag*

You wanted a chance to troll, and fling mud at the "liberal demons attacking everything that is American". You did not say anything that pertained in anyway to the investigation at the time, you just wanted a chance to deface Clinton. Even now, it's barely connectable.

You also wanted a chance to call me partisan.

If you're labeling Harambe this way your off base I think. He wanted a focused discussion that's all. Not the avoidance of that other discussion. Personally I just think trying to stay laser focused through 150+ pages isn't going to happen. Conversations evolve.

Context does matter. But we live in the twitter generation and so context is a casualty. Why did for deeper meaning when I can say things that get me attention for how clever I am in 140 character or less (or whatever the limit is)?

All snideness (snidity?) aside, I think this is doing real damage to society as a whole. We can read everything faster with no interruptions and no pausing between crusades, and answer, attack, and deride just as quickly. Drive-by journalism, drive-by governing, drive-by responses, all leading to a drive-by culture and drive-by thinking.

Has this surfaced here already? I may have missed it:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/election...-reports-trump-dossier-funding-001920527.html

An independent campaign watchdog group Wednesday filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission charging that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee filed “false” campaign disclosure reports that concealed payments to the private investigative firm that commissioned the controversial “dossier” on then candidate Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia.

The complaint by the Campaign Legal Center — a nonpartisan group with no ties to any political party — came shortly after President Trump, in an impromptu press conference on the White House lawn, called it a “disgrace” that Clinton’s campaign and the DNC paid for what he termed the “fake” dossier. He claimed the disclosure has “turned around” the multiple, ongoing investigations into possible links between his campaign and Moscow.

“So they made up the whole Russia hoax,” said Trump when asked about the disclosure about the Clinton campaign’s involvement in the dossier, which was first reported by the Washington Post. “Now … the hoax has turned around.”

The nine-page complaint by the campaign watchdog group says nothing about the veracity of the allegations in the dossier, a subject that is still being investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller and three congressional committees.

Instead, it focuses on how the dossier was paid for — through a prominent law firm, Perkins Coie, which hired the private investigative firm, Fusion GPS — and the failure of either the Clinton campaign or the DNC to report the actual purpose of these payments on their legally mandated campaign expenditure reports.

“The DNC and Hillary for America reported dozens of payments totaling millions of dollars to the law firm Perkins Cole with the purpose described as ‘Legal Services’ or ‘Legal and Compliance Consulting,’ when, in reality, at least some of those payments were earmarked for the firm Fusion GPS, with the purpose of conducting opposition research on Donald Trump,” the complaint by the Campaign Legal Center states. The complaint notes that the Clinton campaign made 37 payments to Perkins Cole totaling $5.6 million, and the DNC made 345 payments totaling $6.7 million.

Does this really mean anything? I think campaign do this kind of digging for dirt all the time. But if it blows up and gets him impeached, then it is shown to be fraudulent due to this story, does that equal criminal behavior? Seems like a last-ditch effort by Trump to bury the story.
