If we get a top 3 pick, everyone has me to thank for starting this lucky thread. If we drop back, than I have ruined the next 10 years of this franchise.

WE ARE DUE SOME GOOD LUCK! MAKE IT HAPPEN STERN!

Here are some great lottery and draft photos. Plus some of the draft options we have.

So who would you take at Number 3? Kanter? Knight? Vesley? Lenoard? And I hope Utah gets the Number 1 pick with the 12th pick and gets Irving and then uses the 6-7 pick on Leonard

Trade up (assuming #6) and get Derrick Williams. I think he is the only player in this draft who has All-Star to Superstar potential. Everyone on the table to trade except Hayward & Favors. Make a trio of Favors Williams and Hayward.

So it is KOC representing us and he just represents both seats? I can't remember how this has worked in the past, but aren't there usually (12) seats? Or do they eliminate seats if needed like this year with us and the Cavs?

Does anyone know when they actually run the random number generator? They must do it before the big TV show so they have time to get the envelopes stuffed in the right order. Does anyone get to observe the number generator so that there is no funny business?

I thought they drew out balls from a... ball container.

I looked this up today 'cause I had the same questions.
(It started when the morons on 1280 teased me with the facts on this but didn't finish because they thought the audience would be turned off by numbers so they went back to be asses instead).

Lottery ceremony

The drawing of the ping-pong balls is conducted in private, though observed by independent auditors and representatives from each team. The results are subsequently presented in a short ceremony (typically broadcast prior to or during halftime of an NBA playoff game), in which the order of the lottery is announced in reverse order, from the fourteenth selection to the first. Representatives from each NBA franchise with a lottery pick are present at the lottery ceremony.

The decision of not showing the ping-pong balls live has fueled speculation that the NBA will occasionally fix the Draft Lottery if it can benefit the league. The root of this speculation is the 1985 Draft Lottery that sent Patrick Ewing to New York, with the theory being that the NBA wanted to send the best player in the draft to New York to increase ratings in a large television market. At that time the NBA used 7 envelopes in a tumbler representing the seven teams with the worst record. When the envelopes were added to the tumbler, two envelopes were put in forcibly, and banged against the edge, while all the rest were set in gently.[10] The first envelope drawn was the 1st pick, and it went onwards up to the 7th pick. David Stern went for an envelope with a bent corner, which upon opening the envelope, it was revealed that the New York Knicks logo was inside, fueling speculation of a draft fix ever since.[11][12][13] Afterward the Draft Lottery Format was changed to the current ping-pong ball lottery in a private room with team representatives.

So my question is: who are these "representatives from each team?"
Does KOC find out the results at the private drawing? and then is he supposed to be all poker faced in front of the cameras until the results are revealed to the television audience, where he takes his cue to act all elated/disappointed?

If that is the case then that Pollen Lady from the Wiz last year has the best poker/surprised fake face's in the world. I would never want to gamble against her

Can't wait for 6:30 pm (Mountain time). I'm obsessing more about the Jazz in the offseason than I ever during during the regular season this past year.
