Here are the reasons why:Why is Cleveland trading an elite floor-spacer + significant assets for an expiring Derrick Favors? Cavs already have a lane-clogger that doesn't fit*.
*Tristan Thompson is the luckiest player in the NBA to have wound up with the same agent as Lebron and on the same team. Dude is the definition of mediocre and outdated.
1. Frye plays 12 minutes per game and he didn't get on the floor hardly at all last postseason.
2. If Love didn't have to play center, he is a much better floor spacer than Frye. If Cleveland had Favors, Frye would never play.
3. Thompson is terrible. Getting Favors allows Cleveland to bench Thompson and only play him for certain matchups and depth.
4. Cleveland couldn't get Jordan, Gasol or any other quality big for the price I'm saying for Favors because of value, contract, etc.
