Like I said, the Jazz have 3 non-guaranteed contracts this free agency. If anyone wants to cut salary to sign a max player, they will be calling the Jazz. The Pelicans will be one of those teams.

I honestly think this scenario was brought up in the trade discussions. DL tells them hey we will give you an out this offseason for these unguaranteed deals since we won’t pony up a first.

Well we can’t offer him the max unless we decline options on our unguaranteed guys, waive Dante’s caphold and trade AB or Ricky with no salary coming back so...

Maybe. If they didn’t get Monroe they’d have interest in Favs... they will get Monroe and at that point aren’t interested in JJ or Favs so not sure how we get a deal done.
