Bulldogs

I have been thinking about getting a corgi next time I get a dog.
Thoughts?

Corgi is obviously much better choice then bulldog. But as Ron said a mutt will be less prone to some inbreeding related issues. Purebred dog problem in N.America is that there is very small gene pool compared to Europe to chose from. Most of the dogs here are spayed and neutered so it is the same blood lines being bred all over again. But that is a new can of worms to open so I'd rather not do it. PM if you need any help in the future when deciding on the dog

Get a mut over a pure breed. They will be more healthy. Find a corgi mix if you like the look of them. Just my two cents. MVP is obviously a better authority on this though.

I like this advice and tbh, after volunteering at the animal shelter, I will probably just adopt a dog that needs me and is a good match for me from the shelter.

Corgi puppies are adorable as **** though.

Sounds like a great mix. I had a wonderful black lab and have been around some awesome border collies.
My dog is a healer/Australian cattle dog mix and he is a great dog. Kinda makes me want to get another farm type dog that’s medium sized.

Why is "bulldog" the go-to dog reference for being tough? Arent bulldogs genetically weak?

My favorite breed growing up.
I still think they are the coolest looking dogs around. They just ooze swagger.

Heard there are lots of issues with them so I never got one and my favorite breed changed to the boxer cause they look cool and are cool. Great dogs
