Possible move into playoff position - Jazz at Grizzlies - 3/9/2018 6:00 pm MST

America is among the worst in the developed world

There’s a couple stories like this that are shared anecdotally and publicized on the media— but this is very much rare & almost never seen. You only really ever encounter this for dental care where immigrated Canadians will go to poorer countries to get dental work done— but that’s because dental work isn’t covered under healthcare

Trust me, it was ******** before the ACA. It’ll be ******** until it’s Medicare4All. I’m a medical student, and I’ve lived in Canada for basically my whole life. There is not a single party in Canada advocating for US-style healthcare— it’s political suicide because no one wants to get rid of healthcare

Damn you pop up while the Jazz are killing it to take a **** on the U.S.? Cool, I guess.

Hey, would it be OK if we didn't mix our politics in the sports section? I mean, if Rudy said something about it, then fair game, but in general...

It’s honestly sad seeing how strong healthcare propaganda is in the United States. This **** is simply untrue
I'm sure I'm wrong but I know I've heard that only about 40% of people can see a doctor the same day or next day when they need one.

Great game for Crowder. 22 points, 7/12 FG, 6/11 from 3. Probably too many three pointers taken but he was making them. Great game for Jingles as well. Rudy and Donovan both struggled and we still won.

If Crowder's making 50+% from three, then I'm not sure "too many three pointers taken" is a valid game decision.

Just imagine Canada. You'd maybe get a doctor visit next week if your lucky.

I always hear this type of thing from americans who have never been to a doctor in canada before. Yet whenever i hear from a canadian this doesn't seem to be the case.

$25 co-pay and cheap antibiotics and the healthcare system is a joke? Some countries do let pharmacists have more authority. Maybe Mexico? But antibiotics, in particular, are more tightly controlled because overuse leads to bacteria that become resistant.
Who the hell wants to overuse antibiotics? Do they get you high? Are they addictive?

I live in downtown Toronto, and previously lived in rural Quebec.

I've never had to wait more than an hour to see a doctor; never had to go to an emergency room.

Why did i have to pay a 25 dollar co pay. I have had ear infections all my life. I knew what it was and what the doctor would do about it. He prescribed me amoxicillan just like i knew he would.
And hell, if i must see a doctor then still, why do i have to pay a $25 dollar co pay? Im paying $500 dollars a month for insurance already. How about if I can tell the doctor what he is going to do before i even go see him then there is no co pay. If he tells me something I dont already know then he gets a co pay. What did I pay the doctor for last night? I already knew what the problem was and knew the solution.
