Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

****, we lost home court?

My concern is that we've basically laid eggs in several important games this spring. The first Portland game they beat us bad coming out of the All-star break, when we were hot going in. Then we lost to San Antonio. Then we lost to a depleted Boston. Now we lay an egg against Portland again. Yeah we had some good wins but all of these games were a chance to gauge ourselves and we just didn't compete.

How are we in close games? Because it seems like we're not that good in games against good opponents who we should at least be playing tight.

Come on, we won 30 games and lost 6, so you basically say "ok we won 30 games but we lost 6!!" and then list those 6 like they are more important than the other 30. We won huge games during that stretch.

We lost to the Trailblazers twice, Rockets, Spurs and Celtics. And of course the loss to the Hawks.

We did have two great wins against GS but they had injuries... still great wins.

Almost all of the other wins came against teams that aren't that good. Yes, we did beat Minny and the Pels.

But our other biggest games we not only lost, but got pretty soundly beaten. The Celtics loss was tough because they were missing Horford, Kyrie, Hayward, and another key player I think. Portland crushed us twice. Spurs manhandled us without Kawhi. Rockets crushed us.

We are a very good team that just didn't play well against the best teams. It would have been nice to at least have competitive losses.

We had three wins against GSW, not two, and one they were at full strength. We beat the team in the league with the best home record... in their house, we took San Antonio to OT on the road when LMA has a career night, we beat the Wolves in their “biggest game in 14 years,” we blew out GSW by 40 when they were playing three all-stars, we’ve lost two road games in like 17 games.

The Portland game sucked but we’ve been beating top teams all year while having let downs against depleted teams or crappy teams.

I'm talking since All-star break, but yeah if you go back farther we did have wins vs. Portland, S.A. and the one you mentioned against G.S.

A lot of good wins since Jan. 24.

But... the losses in the biggest games since ASB (excepting GS) show that we're probably not really ready for prime time.

OKC has lost almost all of their big games over the last 6 weeks too.

We'll see, hopefully we can match their intensity. Westbrook scares me and PG just had 40 pts.

Every single game was the "biggest" game since ASB. If you forgot we would be out of the playoffs with 2 less wins.

Everybody loses some games. Jazz are still one of the hottest teams in the NBA.

A win vs. Portland is bigger than a win vs. Dallas.

You guys are getting defensive.

Big wins against top teams are key and we've had some but since ASB we've mostly come up short. And the real issue is that we weren't even competitive.

Yet if we dropped the Dallas games we would be out of the playoffs... See what I'm saying? Every game is big, this is a weird argument to say the Jazz aren't showing up when they are on an absolute tear.

I agree with you but I'm talking in the context of gauging ourselves against the top teams.

The Warriors have lost 10 of their last 17 games. So how impressive were those wins, really?

Yes, we looked amazing in those wins but again, in the context of hot teams we didn't fair that well.

I disagree. Basically since gobert came back we have been pretty dang good against all types of teams (bad, good, and great teams) in all types of situations (close games, blowouts, etc). Im thinking that we have a top 3 record in the league since the return of rudy. Maybe even the #1 record in the league.
Member that win in a close game against a super hot #1 seed toronto?
