Hello fellow jazzfanz!

I will be hosting a poker tournament and viewing party on Saturday, Apr. 21st starting at 4pm. This event is open to current www.jazzfanz.com members only.

The poker tournament will begin at 4pm and will be concluded by the time the game starts at 8pm.

I will be providing food and beverages. Guests are encouraged to bring an item to share.

Non-poker playing guests are welcome as well. You are welcome to arrive just in time to watch the game if you'd like.

I will provide details regarding the poker tournament in a post below.

If you are interested in attending you can PM me or post "in" below. I will confirm with you via PM and give you my contact info and address.

jazzfanz members are welcome to bring a +1

Poker Tournament

Where: West Jordan, near Jordan Landing
When: 4pm April 21st
Why: To celebrate an amazing Jazz season and cheer on our team in the playoffs with other fans

Buy-in: $10
Rebuy: Unlimited until the first break
Add-on: None
Starting Stack: T5000
Max players: 20

Payouts will depend on the number of players.

This tournament will end by 8pm. If there are still multiple players payouts will be determined by stack size.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention!

Wear jazz related attire if possible! You will get T1000 bonus chips with your starting stack. I will also be taking a "where are you watching" picture of our group to be submitted to Boler and Harpring.

Sounds like fun -- not a poker player, I'm sure you're glad to hear. Anyway, would have to fly in. If I lived in Utah, I might want to come, just to see what you guys are all about, face-to-face. I have met Fish and he is a cool guy. Don't know what he thought of me though. He was busy drinking with my buddy that night, so we didn't talk that much.

Fish is definitely an awesome guy. Very fun to hang out with. As good natured a person as I think you'll find anywhere.

I will have some beer on tap but I caution anyone against getting your hopes up. This is a very experimental batch of honey blond ale that has a high likelihood of being too sweet (although actual honey makes beer very dry, go figure) and/or with way too strong a honey flavor. I'll be kegging it soon. I'll serve it either way, good or bad.

I imagine a live stream of us playing poker would get pretty boring pretty fast. No card cams for the spectators, no commentary from professional hosts, no hottie doing interviews with players as they bust out...
