I could be biased I guess but the passion in the stands and the media coverage in Spain is truly great. And there must be a reason why the greatest players all want to land a gig in Spain: Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar..

Even David Beckham went to Real Madrid. The fact that there are 2 giants in the league, Real Madrid and Barcelona, makes it sweeter when a smaller team beats them.

Well if you're not counting last season over the past 10 years there's been 2 teams that won it.

I think Peru is top-9 in the Fifa world ranking. Those are some nice accolades but Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay and even Argentina (who is playing like total crap) get more attention. Peru's best player (Guerrero) is considered the best S.American 9 besides Suarez. I can imagine Peruvian players joining top European teams after the World Cup (most are playing in lesser leagues like Portugal, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium...)

I watched four games at the Nou Camp 2 years ago, including Celtic getting flogged, was awesome.
 
I enjoy the world cup... but basketball is so much the superior sport. Im not pretending to change any minds as ive had this discussion before with friends and never seemed to get anywhere... but the offsides rule gives too much discretion to the refs and most the time theres any good action it ends up with guys tripping and the ball being kicked out of bounds.

There's the video review system this year, it's making the refs a lot more accountable and major plays reviewable. Should have been implemented ages ago but at least it's here now.

This is what I dislike most. 90% of the time something exciting is happening it ends in disappointment
