Was it the 94 World Cup when Nigeria looked really strong but lost in the Semis to Italy?


That was my first World Cup.

The best League without question is the English Premier League.


Spanish League is a 2 horse race.

By skilled I mean players that can dribble the ball better and create more for themselves. Some countries just have more of these players because kids play it every day in the street.

Of course sometimes both teams aren’t very skilled and the game sucks, just long inaccurate passes and trying to snag a goal from a loose ball..

I usually watch some World Cup. Sucks that USA isn’t in it though.
I watched a lot of Portugal vs Spain and it was very entertaining. Watched about half of the Argentina game and enjoyed it. I thought Messi played pretty poorly. Watched a bit of the Denmark game.

I actually like women’s World Cup games better though. Not only are many of them hot but I also think they have more shots at the goal which makes it more exciting. I’m thinking that maybe the men are too good technically and therefore rarely make mistakes that lead to scoring opportunities. Where as the women have more mistakes and play a bit “looser” which leads to more opportunity at the goal.
Helps that the USA women’s team is usually really good too.

Too typically good teams iirc.

So it seems like for years the argument for best in the world always came down to Ronaldo vs Messi. But they both have been around for what seems like forever and it seems that they would be gettin old and slowing down.
Is the guy from Brazil (Namar maybe?) supposed to take their place as worlds best soccer player?

Not only does going at the middle seem like good strategy but as a bonus it also makes the goalie look especially silly when he dives away from where the ball was going to go.

This. Also have to say I enjoyed watching the women's softball world series this year.
