Cool story.
Also been told how great of a reach Boozer and Millsap have. That doesn't take away that they're still short and are very undersized on the Basketball court.
Having a good reach is one thing. But it doesn't make up for the inches lost in height. The two work together.

Boozer's standing reach is 9'1". Millsap's is 8'9". Notice the difference? Nice job making the point about how much more important standing reach/wingspan is than the elevation of the top of a player's head.

Inches in height does affect ones offensive ability. I think that is alwaus overlooked when looking at reach. That said i look at bb as a 20 minute a game defensive nightmare. Thats what we need.

I do notice the difference. And both have about the same height and get stuffed a lot offensively and struggle defensively.

One's height or standing reach cannot be used exclusively, but mutually. Ideally you want someone with good size and reach (like Kanter). IMO, Kanter is the superior prospect both from a physical and a mental perspective (Kanter's skill level right now is probably far greater than Biyombo will have in his entire career).
If you feel that Biyombo's reach makes up for his height, then fine. If you feel like Biyombo can play center for the Utah Jazz and are not at least concerned with his lack of height (and basketball skills), then I feel we're just going to agree to disagree.
I'm not anti-Biyombo. I just find some things concerning to me....
Think the Jazz would ever draft both Kanter at the 3 and Biyombo at the 12? Or will they go with a guard at one of those?
In other words, if the Jazz draft Kanter @ the 3, must they go for a guard at the 12? What happens if the best prospects at #12 are guys like Biyombo or Mont?

I don't get the Wallace love. Wallace was good for a couple of years during Detroit's playoff run. He's done nothing before or since. In his whole career, he's had how many truly productive seasons? Once outside of Detroit's system, his offensive deficiencies have been glaring and he's been a non-factor everywhere else.
I repeat what I've said before, Biyombo is intriguing as a late lottery pick but too big a risk for anything beyond that. He's a project and has a very high likelihood of being a bust also. He has no offensive game and is as raw as they come. I'm not ready to drink the koolaid on this guy and, frankly, I hope the Jazz front office isn't either. I hate to be the wet blanket here, but the gushing over this guy is really over the top.
Maybe, but Wallace was a huge key when he was good. I think he has battled various injuries since his golden days too.
