I think that's an exaggeration but he does get out of control at times on drives I wouldn't argue that. It also helps him get to the line more often since he's drawing more contact than any of our other perimeter players do so I don't really think it's an issue, and I don't think it's a knock on his athletic ability at all.OK lets say his is average in strength. Have you seen anybody else land on the floor after little contact during drives to the basket as much as Dante? He is pretty much knocked on the floor 9 out of 10 layup attempts. Is this weakness or lack of coordination? Coordination is part of overall athleticism as well and Dante sometimes looks like uncoordinated muppet doll.
I don't think he's an elite athlete by NBA standards but I do also think that Jazz fans downplay his really elite attributes like his elite 1st step, his elite size and length for the PG position and his, in my opinon, elite lateral quickness on defense because he can look weak/uncoordinated at times, has pretty average at best vertical athleticism and he looks like he's gassed after 20 seconds of playing all the time.
