Boozer KFAN rumor

Orlando matched him because they knew how valuable a C with a very nice physical profile and can rebound and defend is. They didn't need him, but they knew they could probably use him as an asset to get what they really wanted (good value if looking at his size and efficiency, salary taking up enough space to take back another star when the opportunity presented itself [this?]).

Right now, they're a team that frankly has no one that's great with the ball in their hands and certainly have no offense that generates itself in the post even though they're loaded with players that can give a guy a prairie to work within if he's worthy. Boozer on Orlando from a skill standpoint is almost perfect. Considering Koufos right now is our only likely center for half the season, getting Gortat would be a god-send (why the Jazz just didn't draft Aldrich, I don't know, maybe the Jazz and Magic have been talking about this for a while and the Jazz thought they were going to get Gortat).

I'd take Pietrus, Bass and Gortat for Booz or

Pietrus"Peaches" is athletic, good shooter and plays great D. Throw in Bass to back up Milly and Gortat staring you got your self much better defensively. Who cares if were not as good offensively, WE NEED DEFENSE. A Miles/Hayward,Bass, Fes,AK and PG would contend for the best bench.

It wouldnt make sense to get Pietrus and Reddick b/c we would have Wes, Miles, Ak, Reddick, Hayward and Pietrus for 2 and 3 positions

Powerhouse said the latest rumor is that Dwight Howard wants Boozer to come to Orlando. The only way this could happen is through a sign and trade.

It's rumored that Bass/Gortat, Reddick, and Pietrus would be the players involved.

Just a rumor....

If the Jazz have the opportunity to land another wing player, there has to be something to it.

I've always been a fan of Bass's game. He's similar to Millsap. Sure he's not gonna put us over the top but if such a S&T is a possibility, i'd like him to be a part of it. Always felt he's the prototypical Jazzman...hustles his behind off, isn't afraid to mix it up inside, good rebounder and can knock down a mid range J.

As for Boozer, Orlando probably is the perfect fit for him because he's got that interior defensive presence in Howard to make up for his own deficiencies on that end

I don't know what these crackas are smokin, Gortat can ball.

...and so can Heyward! You see that signature video of mine? That's actually Heyward in the early years playing summer league ball with the hoppers! You see him bouncing that ball off a hopper head? That's what he will be doing to NBA hoppers next year....especially against Boozer, wherever he signs!

If I'm the Jazz, I let Boozer walk and pass on the sign & trade, rather than take back players who suck from Orlando. Let them waive players, screw their cap and sign Boozer themselves, so they can have three overpaid soft veterans playing with Dwight.

Vince, Rashard & Boozer would make the All-Overpaid, Cadillac'ing, No-Defense-Playing, I-Wanna-Shoot-Rather-Than-Pass-to-Dwight Team.

Debacle.

The problem with your theory is that Orlando also has some really good role players that they would probably give us for Booze

Gortat, Pietrus, Carter for AK and S&T Boozer?

Darkwing Duck- For how much you criticize every other person on this board for their ideas of trades and you come back and propose this???? What a joke! Carter and his "all bout me tude" and his terrible contract who also plays NO D, I'll take a pass.

I can almost taste it...

PG - Deron (only 1/2 white)
SG - Redick
SF - Kirilenko/Hayward
PF - Lee/Kirilenko
C - Okur/Gortat/Fes

White wash here we come!

Normally, I don't like to comment on racial comments, but wow that's a real possibility!

It's not automatically bad, but I can see why people would be worried if they think we couldn't compete well enough. Plus, it wouldn't do any favors for Utah stereotypes.

Curious to know if that's happened in the last 40 years?

Also, I think Gortat is way underutilized in Orlando. Pietrus is can be a little moody but I think he's a solid player. J.J. is a little small for an already small roster. Bass would be the preference, of course. He was also underutilized in Orlando.

If we could bring back Gortat, Bass & Pietrus for Boozer & maybe a re-signed Matthews or CJ, that'd be pretty sweet!
