With a healthy Lebron, Lakers jump us 100%. We're not jumping anyone ahead of us. It's a toss up between us, LAC, and Sac.

Boo me all you want but if we stay put I can easily see us miss out. We're 7th place and only 2 games up. 5 out of our next 7 are against playoff teams and one is against the team that beat us by 50. To think we have a lock is pretty naive.

Just being real. It's not out if the question. This team struggled when the schedule was tough. This team is good but not that good as far as the Western competition.

So what is it, is it 100% or is it not out of the question?

Also, if you're going to talk about tough schedules you should look at what's ahead for both of those teams. The Jazz have the second weakest remaining SOS in the league and the weakest in the WC. The Lakers have the 8th strongest and 5th in the conference.

I'll be willing to place some small forum bet on it. Keep in mind I said a "healthy" Lebron. The guy has single handedly taken teams to championship series. Get him healthy and I think Lakers are better. Unless... we make a move.

@Douchebag K you wanna educate this guy?

Yep, I think DL is ultra pissed after the Gobert snub and wants the Jazz to be really good right now.
He needs to be pissed. In a week where AD demands a trade citing as one reason the issue of not being voted in as an All-Star starter, and just 18-months removed from Haywagon leaving because he thinks he can more easily be an all-star somewhere else. The whole Jazz organization had to hit the panick button and go on the offensive to attack and change the narrative. They know that if that belief becomes solidified they will be cemented as a farm team for the big 6.

So while the Jazz media machine was fanning the flames of outrage, Lindsey and Starks were proposing new ways to select all-stars that made it more mechanical, more calculated and hopefully giving their guys a fair chance.

Jazz are not just in a fight for a playoff spot, they are in a fight to remain relevant.

So we are the 7th seed after having the hardest schedule in the NBA so far by a long shot, but we wont move up now that we have the easiest schedule in the West left? Makes sense, I can see your logic.

I'm not sure if they are fighting for relevance. I feel like we already are relevant. But I do think that we are fighting for attention, respect, spotlight. Fighting to be a destination where players want to play, fighting to be a team everyone talks about, fighting to be place where players can get the accolades that they earn.

Didn't we just get crushed last night by the team directly ahead of us? It basic math. The Rockets are the 6th seed. They destroyed the 7th seed. Rockets beat us in 5 last year. But we're somehow a better team? Makes sense

Also 90% of the team has been made available for trade by Lebron... so I’m sure the chemistry is fantastic there. I think Lakers end up with the 8 seed but if we are healthy no way they pass us.

That’s a lot of different ways to talk about relevance.

This kind of stuff is never reducible to basic math. So, you’re sinking your own point. Try calming down; and think about something else for a little while. Emmk?

K my bad. This team at 7th place is a lock to get in the playoffs in a completely stacked conference.
