What's new

Dante has been out forever because he ded

Does anyone else find Dante's running gait distractingly annoying and weird ? He seems to bend his wrists backwards close to 90 degrees as he runs and subliminally makes me think he or runs like a retarded person or a girl.

Given his glass like nature it wouldn't surprise me if someone collides into him as he is running with his wrists like that causing some kind of injury.
I have thought he is awkward as **** since day one.
Really weird body language in every way.

I mentioned that before draft and few more times during his first season with the Jazz as well. Thus term ballerina layups.... Maybe he was doing ballet as a child?
Kind of resembles this guys movement..

I don’t care about how he looks. All that matters is he can run faster than most.
That isn't all that matters other wise Olympic sprinters would be making millions in the NBA.

Basketball skills matter too.

Not in his walking boot.

And that is where I get conflicted on Dante. I want to believe he still has untapped potential, I want to believe he is a perfect fit next to Donovan, but he just can't stay healthy.

Is it a series of unfortunate events, or is his body just not durable?

What? I would kill to have Exum be able to move like this.

Was gonna make a new thread, but this is probably better.

So this is it right? After all star break Dante needs to put up or shut up, we’re all out of excuses. If he plays like crap the rest of the year no one is allowed to say “he was hurt, just wait until next season” agreed?

He was playing awesome before he went out, and I hope to god it continues right where he left off. But he needs to flip the switch on his career these last 30ish games + playoffs.

That’s fair in everyone’s opinion, right?
Are we starting him?

Its about time Dante was given the chance to play with the starters and best floor spacers.

It's about time he earned starter minutes.
He played great in his last stretch. He played better than Rubio. We all know Quin isn't going to start him this year no matter what he does. You simply can't impact a game as much and put up huge numbers when you play 15-18 minutes per game. I actually am fine with him coming off the bench though. That lineup with Exum, Ingles, Korver, Jae/Thabo and Favs was perfect for his skillset and they were killing it.

I just want to congratulate @MVP on how much of a man he is. Wow, what a man. I wish I could be as much of a man as him. But I'm about to try.

-Ballet is for sissies, universally. Not coincidentally, ballet is primarily done by women.
-You will immediately die if you don't eat meat. Lots of meat. Bleeding meat.

He's set to make a career $45-49M on his current contract, and at his current health rate (66.7% of games played) will have likely only played 382 of the 574 possible games for us over 7 seasons. If his history, advanced metrics, and other statistics are any indication, he may cap out as an exceedingly average player (his best season so far -- this current one -- is a 12.7 PER, a -0.1 VORP, -3.1 BPM)

No matter the reasoning (bad luck, uncoordinated, play style, etc.) for his poor health, the fact is that he cant stay healthy enough to contribute to long-term success, and cant stay healthy enough to progress his own skills. Concerning stuff IMO.

lol wut? Aren't you the one who despised AK for crying over playing time? So apparently showing emotions over game you love is a sissy, but moving like ballerina on basketball court is ok? Whatever...
Who said anything about meat in particular? I said and stand by my statement that veganism is unhealthy can should be only be justified for ethical reasons. Does not mean you need to eat meat to stay healthy. Eggs and dairy make enough difference to not develop nutritional deficiencies.
