Only so much air time. How would it deserve more attention than more violent crimes.

He essentially claimed he got into a little tussle. He ended up with a tiny mark on his face and his feelings hurt. This should be national news? Someone saying Maga country is bigger news than someone's child being abducted, or someone murdered?
 
My first reaction to the "news" here was absolute disbelief. The guy walking around with the little quarter-inch clothesline, past the security station, talking to the apt. manager on his cell..... .

911, bro. scream crisis at the first person you see.

a lot of pretty detached folks stumbling around like zombies nowadays, lost in their thoughts/schemes.

But I am surprised..... impressed.... with the investigators here. Not all is wrong with America.

Just out of curiosity, when a white person files a police report about being attacked by black people, and it gets reported on the news, is that also a case of pushing some BS narrative, or is that genuine news? Would it still have been news if the police report turned out to be false?

If the news had originally reported it that way, yes.

ETA I may have read your post too quick as I thought you were asking if a white person fabricating that event would be news.

But the news is an interesting thing. In one sense it’s supposed to report what’s happening, but then on the other hand it’s reporting on outliers, because that’s whats interesting — not the stuff we already know and see every day. The problem becomes when we conflate the outliers in the news with the rule and not the exception.

You’re both wrong. This won’t set us back “years” but it is important. It hits right to a substantial issue.

“Racial” problems are a major one in the US.

As long as we are divided... and “race” is a very reliable divider.
 
He just got charged with disorderly conduct over his allegation. Looks like it may all have been a lie.

The only racial problems in this country are the fake ones the leftists keep stirring up. We were moving a great direction as a country just a few years ago, then someone let out the SJW Triggered Outrage Virus(SJWTOV) and turned half the country mad.

The news and internet is like some alternate reality. I see people of all skins colors getting a long just fine. If you talk to an internet SJW or media personality they would like you to believe that white people are the devil, no one is getting a long, oppression and problems are everywhere, etc.

Its like running 24/7 coverage people with the flu and telling the whole world its a huge problem and everyone has the flu. There is a very small minority of people who are racist. Not enough to matter really. Its never going to be perfect. You cant train everyone to think how you want them to.

Its time to move on. Enough with the fake news. Maybe if the "news" had some positive stuff to say it might make a positive difference in the real world.
 
Fun fact

No actual cases of people in MAGA hats hurting or assaulting other people. But people wearing MAGA hats have been assaulted and harrassed many times and even framed for crimes.

I can find dozens and dozens of news stories and videos of people wearing MAGA hats being assaulted. Why arent these national stories? Gee, i dunno, could it be the main stream liberal bias?


Seriously, what a ****ing joke the media has become.

As for “fake racial problems made up by the left”. ********. Pull your head out of your ***.

Hell, yesterday I walked to my bus stop and took of my gloves as my cell doesn’t register my touches with my gloves on. And a passing black man took it as me being nervous at his presence. Enough to confront me and demand to know why, twice. But yup totally. It’s totally the media...Jesus /facepalm.

This is from someone very distrustful of the media.
