What's new

The official Jazz vs Rockets prediction thread.

If refs would only call 50% of Harden's travelling and pushing off then I say Jazz easily in 5. But now I think Jazz in 6. We just need to take a page from Bucks defensive plan vs Harden. Houston is not the same team like last year and we are much better.

I'd like to see the games officiated equivalent to the season finale for Houston vs OKC. It looked to me to be a pretty fair whistle. Lot of flops by Houston were not rewarded with a call.

I think the Jazz can pull it of in 6.... If they can keep Harden going right. But if the refs get whistle happy which I am sad to say I expect, then I can't see us winning more than 1 game.

I already grabbed my barf bag for when we see Harden. I hope the NBA doesn't let him get away with murder and the refs screw us yet again. If it's called fairly we win in 6.

Worth considering: Would a second Harden MVP help, or hurt the reffing? His play?

This is a perfect opportunity to repair the fractured relationship we have with clutchfans.

But eff them.

We don’t want any relations with those assholes. I’m STD free, thank you much.

I say the Rockets can be had! Pound the ball inside, Slow the Pace down, use your head because your brains is in it!

Yep.
Those who think the rockets have gotten worse aren't paying attention. They just took a while to get healthy (cp3 and capela both missed chunks) and get the new guys Incorporated.
The starting lineup has no weaknesses and the bench is deep. And they have possibly the best player in the NBA.

I see this as a no lose scenario... I'm down on our FA hopes... I don't think anyone beats GS... Houston is the favorite... so if we win we are the heros of the NBA and its the biggest story of the first round.

Aesthetically it is no fun, but beating the Blazers doesn't get us much cred... and losing would destroy our cred. Bring on the contenders and titans... let's test ourselves.

They are absolutely worse than last year... that team was historically good. Ariza and Mbah a Moute really helped them. CP was healthier... they are better than their record suggests, but we were limping coming into that series... DM had hurt his foot and then aggravated it... Ricky was out the whole time. Dante played until he died and Rudy wasn't at full strength (and it showed at times).

I don't think they are that deep either.

I like this thinking. Winning against POR probably doesn't mean much. Might as well go at Houston fully healed and not already dragged through a first round series.
