And I don't really want Russell on a max. I think I'd rather do the Wiggins trade and have him on his max over Russell.
No idea what they're going to do, or what the players are going to do. I think Jimmy could make the decision easy for them and go elsewhere on his own will (and same with Tobias). Hopefully something glorious will happen and they both leave.Maybe... I'd have thought the same on PG, but I think some guys think future markets will always be better. It is an option to make a 4 year deal more palatable and close some of the gap on a 5 year max.
I'm really not sure Philly throws out 5 year max for Tobias... I'm not sure he's an "asset" to them at that point. They may be stuck.
The Jazz would still have to max him to have him. Being a UFA doesnt make him old and it doesnt make Utah not Utah.

Chicago or PhoenixMaybe so, but I'm not sure who is offering max to him at that point. I don't want him on a max deal... if we could slide a team option in there or get a reduced per year amount maybe.
I did look at the numbers. Brooklyn would have to stretch or trade Crabbe for nothing if they want to keep DLo's cap hold... if they had Kyrie willing to sign I'm not sure they would care about retaining his caphold though.
No way they would have to give Rozier 15. I think he's firmly played himself out of any opportunity of being overpaid (unless Lopo is an actual NBA GM).And Kyrie leaves Boston... and they give Rozier like $15M a year to stay and suck... I would love to watch those markets melt.

Unless he was in on it the whole time...

****, you're right. For some reason I thought Phoenix and Chicago had max space.Neither team has close to max without making significant moves... Phoenix would need to move Warren and take no salary back and waive and stretch Johnson. Chicago would need to move Felicio/Dunn with no salary returning.
