What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Sweet which one of those options is a free agent that won’t take up all our remaining space?

In a vacuum Favs is better but Green provides more of what we need on offense and costs a ton less... just like how we are better when Jae is on the floor instead of Favs... even though Favs is better.

It’s that easy... don’t overthink things... with Conley on board we don’t need as much creation.
I'm not disagreeing with your plan proposal. I'm just pointing out that our FO is infatuated with Favors.

Now that we've got Conley, is there any way that we can still get Tobias? If we keep Conley, Mitchell, Ingles, Gobert and O'Neale and waive/renounce or trade everyone else could we come up with enough cap space for a max slot? Tony Jones said in his latest Q & A that he believes the Jazz were the front runner for Harris and Justin Zanik said last night that the Jazz are going to be very aggressive in free agency. If it's at all possible we need to go for it!

If we get Harris at only possibly Exum and Favors expense, we are clear favorites for the Finals.

I think we’d have 33-34M in space.

That should be enough. Conley/Mitchell/Ingles/Harris/Gobert, O'Neale the sixth man off the bench. Then we'd likely have to fill out the rest of the bench with vet minimums, but that would be one hell of a team.

Peoples stealing my ideas

Favs to Boston for their space and the Milwaukee first... gives DL a fruit basket to help him move on.

I’m cool keeping Favs... just not sure it’s the best use of our space... makes us thin AF and doesn’t bring a ton of long term value... with Conley we don’t hit the clogged toilet level of shooting. It’d be cool to see him get the credit he’s due because he’d put up huge numbers... it’d just make me sick to see him doing it with the Celtics or the Thunder or the Lakers.

Opt out.

Sign Danny Green to 3/25, Jamychael Green to 3/20, Caruso to 3/12, and Tyson Chandler to the 2.4M vet minimum.

We can’t get enough space... the Tobias dream is over... sending out Exum and waiving Neto and Favs gets us to like 27M... ain’t close.

IF Utah really is where Tobias wants to play (a big if), I just disagree that 27mil isn’t at least in the ballpark of being a competitive offer, especially if it’s a one year deal with a player option or something. Stars have taken much bigger haircuts than that for a chance to win a title.

If Tobias REALLY wants to come here (and is willing to take a slight paycut), we could get the $27 million quite easily. Hardest part will be dealing Exum.

So let's see what we know. Tobias Harris wants to play for the Jazz-Coach Snyder. He's a perfect fit next to Rudy.
To make his salary work the Jazz need to move Exum and Favors. Dennis Lindsey believes Exum and Favors are irreplaceable.
So who do we sign for 4 mill instead of the obvious move?

His salary doesn’t fit... is this really hard to understand?

Tobias. Can’t. Come. Here. Anymore.

If he did and would take a paycut (something that is just absurd to think) we would bring him in... assuming we could move exum

If the Jazz FO makes Conley and Harris happen every last one of you better be praising their name and offering up a loved one.
