What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Zach Lowe mentioned on his pod today that Indy has a glut of bigs and Thad Young would be nice in Utah, even though he's not the shooter Utah wants. He'll probably make way more than the room midlevel anyway. They have Sabonis, Turner, TJ Leaf, Thad Young coming off the books, and just drafted Goga Bitadze.

Thad seems like too much of a lateral move from Favors, and he’s older too, no? I think I’d just keep Favors.

Wanna fight? Jazz could get rid of Neto and Tony and be really close. Far as we know Tobias may not be as concerned with making 31 vs 25 million too. We'll all know soon enough however.

You guys are being ****ing stoopid... it isn’t just 5 or 6 million it’s 5 or 6 million times at least 4. Dood ain’t giving up 25-70M to come to Utah.

That's why he'd want a 2 year contract. Then the Jazz could re sign him to a higher contract. Same time as Conley should be making less.

Yup I’m sure Philly would love to use that vacated cap space on the cap fodder we are sending.
They could go to other teams. But I do think 76ers would like Favors. They are over the cap and he is better than anyone else they could sign in FA assuming Tobias does not want to go there and wants a trade to the Jazz. I also think they wouldnt mind taking a chance on Exum as their backup to his friend Simmons.

Even better... he risks bypassing a 190M 5 year deal to take 2 years 50M from us... good grief peoples do better.

He had the Jazz as his top choice chief.

Quote or it didn't happen. I think some media people said Utah might be the front runner if he didn't stay in Philly. But I think that was speculated based on Jazz offering max and his friendship with Donovan. I don't ever recall seeing a quote by him or even someone claiming he had said anything to that effect.

I think the only thing that could make a S&T feasible is Philly wanting to save face for all the assets they traded to rent Harris. But I think they’d want real assets, like draft picks, in return, and not Dante Exum — they already had to dump Fultz.

It’s really easy to say now because you’ll never be proven wrong.

He's not eligible for a supermax.

That isn’t a supermax ... that is what Philly can and will offer him. Don’t tell me what I know.
