What's new

Would you rather...

I'm on the fence about #2 but I certainly get that.

As far as #1 goes, yes it's a starter level player. But it's not whether or not Exum becomes that. In this would you rather it's for sure that Exum becomes a starter level player or would you rather sign someone else who is also the same level of player as Exum who is a starter level player, but a different player we sign.
So the answer is Exum as a starter later or get a different starter now? I'd choose different starter now. Easy. I think that question, from a pure logic standpoint, shows that if you choose Exum, it's only because of feeling connected or emotionally invested in him, because in no scenario does it make sense to opt to get the same quality starter later than to get it now.

I want the memory of sleeping with the most gorgeous woman on the planet for just one night. And, of course, it's not just that one night...it's the build up for almost an entire year, erupting in the most ecstatic climax imaginable.

I can close my eyes and relive that glory year any time I want. So yes, championship it is.

Spend $180 million on Tobias Harris or $73 million on Bojan Bogdonavic?
Bojan

Spend $18 million next season on Favors with the pressure to start him, or $5 million on Ed Davis as a backup and have two second round picks?
Favors

Pay Ricky Rubio $17 million next season or Bogdonavic $17 million?
Bojan

Have Ricky Rubio for 3 years $51 million or Mike Conley for 2 years $65 million?
Conley

Play three in with Donovan and Ingles or play four out with Gobert?
Four out with Gobert

Pay Exum $9.6 million next year or trade him to Boston in a S&T for Morris?
Exum

That's not an answer. In would you rather, you have to choose one.
Then I take my ball and go home. Lol. I refuse to give an answer to that. I’ll eat boogers drink throw up stick a needle in my eye than have no hope of watching my team for an extended time knowing the outcome.

No, you are choosing Exum who has become a starting quality player right now or another player who is the same ability level. Each player is the same quality level right now and forever.

Would you rather that player be Exum or someone else.

Again there is no difference in their ability level. They might possess different skills but are completely equal in their level of play and contribution to the team.

I would rather see the Jazz succeed and Exum hasn’t, doesn’t, and likely won’t help with that.

I don’t have a grudge against Exum, neither does @infection . We like having the best team we can. That you think this is some petty **** for us says more about you than it does us.
Yep. If Exum stays on the Jazz, then obviously all of us will be rooting for him to be great.

Well, you lose at this game then and that's hard to do. Well done sir.

Is the other guy ded or unded?

Then what difference does it make? Is this a question just to determine if someone hates Exum?

What he doesn't seem to get is that there's a difference between THINKING that Exum won't be a contributer and HOPING that he won't.
