What's new

We signed Emmanuel Mudiay

So it got tougher for X, he has to fight for minutes. Remember, he was starting on his first season in the NBA and doing fine too especially defensively. Not sure if he'll stay and if he does, how many minutes he'll get. They added MEM's franchise player in Conley first, and then surprisingly brought Mudiay in. Then there is this JWF dude everyone is talking about.

Mudiay is in no way any threat to play ahead of Dante. As for the rookie taking away his minutes, that's even more ridiculous. JWF will be fighting just to make the team.

The only fight Exum will have is to remain healthy.

He's on a one year contract. Jazz aren't going to invest too much in him, and he will only see the floor as he earns the time.

I don't get it either. It's like people enjoy ******** on him and mostly for things he has zero control over. Oh well... there always has to be a scape goat. I guess it's his turn this time around.

It's also cute how people think Mudiay is better than Exum... Exum with half of his tendons, knee ligaments torn and shoulders broken is better than anything Mudiay has ever shown in the NBA.

Yep. Same idiots last year said Grayson Allen would be a better player in his first year than current Dante. Kinda weird how dumb people never learn their lesson.

I also don’t get why people are arguing about our pg’s. We have Conley (complete pg, potential Hall of Famer) Exum (high prospect but injury prone) and Mudiay (solid backup) We haven’t had this much depth at pg in a while. We should want Mudiay to be competing for Exums minutes. It’ll only make Exum play harder and make him be on his game.

Especially everyone seems to be happy about having Neto as our backup PG. I mean, all Mudiay gotta do is to basically average over 7 points a game and log more than 70 games this year. then he will have more points scored than Neto did for us in his last three seasons combined. The bar really isn't high. At all

Jeff green will start at pf
Looks like so and we know how talented he is. Though he's not a good rebounder , neither are the rest of the starters except Gobert. I expect to see ED - Gobert on the court against certain teams.

Mudiay is a threat to Dante's minutes and we should be happy about it. That said I expect X to start the season strong as he did last season. If he's not traded by then of course. It's kind of strange Utah was able to keep him in the middle of all this madness. Was it about the lack of offers or DL's unbreakable trust in him? Whatever the case may be he's as undervalued as he's been so should not be traded away unless there's a hard to miss opportunity, for example a real PF this system needs.

I also expect JWF to make the team and get minutes in garbage time. If he does well who knows what'll happen next.

Just curious, if Mudiay kills it this year do we have his bird rights? Or could we only offer one of the exceptions we have?

Exum was pretty **** for most of October and particularly in November before showing signs of his best basketball in his career during December/early Jan, and I say that as one of the chief investors of Exum Island. I fully expect him to do something similar again this year, just hopefully without the season ending injury after.

No, he needs to be on the same team for the previous 3 years without being waived to qualify for Bird exception and for 2 years to qualify for early bird exception. If he blows up we will be able to offer him only 120% of his previous salary if we are over the cap... or we will have to make space in order to give him more money.

Yes, December was his best month but started the season well in October. He was good except that MEM game when he shot 1/10 or such.

Lmao at the idiots who think Mudiay is going to be a 2nd string PG ahead of Dante.

Some of ya'll should really just quit commenting on basketball altogether. You're embarrassing yourselves.

Clearly since Dante is a perfect example of an impactful player and by impactful I don't mean horrible stats or shattered bones because his are made of glass. The whole league laughs at our belief and now disbelief of him since knowledgeable jazz fans are starting to see that he is a bust

If Grayson played more you would see his skills more on display. At least he scored 40 could Dante do that ? Just be proud your boy Exum is making an NBA all bust team.
