The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

I love that McCain clip in that tweet thread.
His supporters tried to bash Obama and McCain shut them down and told them that Obama is a good family man and would be a fine president if he won, even though Obama was McCain's opponent.

Imagine a candidate having that much class and showing respect and kindness towards their opponent today.
That's how you get my vote

Why is he not happy that his supporters are repeating something that he said? It seems pretty flattering. In a David Dukish sort of way.

I am proud of my vote for McCain.

How am I a racist? Take your bigotry elsewhere, grownups are talking.

You said you own people. Historically, racial factors have played a large part in slavery. Particularly in America.

Ergo, as an owner of people, you are a slaver, and very likely a racist.

Oh how very liberal of you to immediately start calling someone a racist because you disagree with them. Be careful now, there are only so many other phrases for name calling in your bag of nonsense to reach for.

You sir, are about as smart as a box of rocks. Again, please leave as the adults are having a conversation above your ability to comprehend.

And onto the block list you go.

Stop being stupid and trashing threads for others.

Imagine a president that does what he tells voters he will do - Trump
Imagine a president that lies to you such as I am not a jew hater, but after his presidency a picture comes out with him fractalizing with Farrakhan, and proof that Obama tried to interfere in Israel elections. Imagine a president that lies to you if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, etc etc.
Obama

Unfortunately every president we have had had lied to us. Even more unfortunate, the current president has lied to us more than any candidate in recent history. Any verifiable statement shows he lies very very often. It's rare he tells the truth. That isn't just my opinion it's a proven fact.

They probably withhold their opinion around babe because they're afraid he'll launch into a sermon about the socioeconomic impact of donkey farts on Peruvian sheepherders.

My contact pool is quite a wide variety.

I am frequently in Berkeley, Milpitas....yah know, the tech "Masters of the Universe" that Breitbart rants about.

It is very helpful of you folks here to freely give me all kinds of insights. Helps me in my business.

Fresno is more my kind of town, though..... and Sacramento is where I am most often. Lots of Republicans in those parts.

The other day I was in the home of a mixed race family, I don't ask specific questions, but I tell stories. A young couple with a fairly nice home and two young boys. Fine boys. An all-American family prospering from some meagre early life here in the Land of The American Dream.

Just going to the WalMart neighborhood market, where there was some good shade for me to wait between appointments, it was mostly minorities. I recognized several families as Filipino, and about as many black, out of a sampling of maybe fifty. Most were migrants, probably Mexican.

Like I said, I smile when I talk to people, and listen. Most people treat me real good.

JazzFanz, with such a strong sampling of woke folk, is not representative of even California, let alone Utah. I think you shoot yourselves in the feet almost every time you open your mouths with your political views. How many Jazz fans come in this part of the forum. Not nearly as many as you'd like.

If you could only be as nice as Trump is about people with other views......

Thanks for posting it.
I didn't vote in that election (or any election except for the last one) but after watching that clip I would vote for McCain over Obama. (And I like Obama)

I voted in 2008. I’ve voted republican before.

McCain by himself was pretty awesome.

But you gotta think:

* McCain/his party wanted more tax cuts for the wealthy. Obama didn’t.
* McCain wanted to maintain the status quo on health care. Obama campaigned on health care reform.
* McCain was old and we didn’t know he’d live for another decade. His VP was Sarah Palin. I think it’s arguable that trump is a better potus than Palin ever would’ve been. And that’s saying something.

Sarah Palin alone was enough to deter myself and some of my friends from voting McCain.

Honestly the 2008 election might’ve been the first real election we’ve seen with 21st century demographics playing a major role in its outcome.

Obama killed it with minorities, women, urbanites, and the college educated.
McCain did well with older, whiter, and rural populations.

2016 might’ve been a hiccup.

I gotta think that trump’s complete neglect of anyone outside of his old, white, rural, and college educated bubble is going to bite him in the butt. His ceiling isn’t much higher than what he already got in 2016. Yet Democrats floor can’t be any worse than 2016.

As long as a decent candidate comes out and whose campaign doesn’t alienate suburban voters while maintaining energy from minorities and the base, the democrats should romp Trump in 2020.

538’s last pod made a number of good points that made me hopeful about 2020.

The GOP’s autopsy of the 2012 election is still accurate. In it they concluded that the party wouldn’t remain competitive in national elections if it didn’t expand its base.

Well, Trump has done more to contract the base than anything else.

As long as the Dems don’t screw the pooch... (which is very difficult for them to not do. They’re notoriously bad at politics)

Hey, unlike us, he is "educated"..

What do you think of Yang? He's very likable imo.

Is this reasoning any better?

Listening to several talk shows like David Webb and Sonnie Johnson (black Republicans), who have been taking apart Trump critics regularly for calling him names, and telling him to "Go Home" more or less, I think this comment by Graham is spot on. Some say Trump is a "counterpuncher"..... if you hit him he will fight right back.

Some of the conservatives have been going on the social justice dems, who received top dollar donor support for their campaigns and none of whom really have significant political independence nor the intellectual talents to develop their own political campaigns..... because their comments in the public record are so full of "material" that can be effectively used against them.

I think Trump has decided it's a political win for him to directly take on the social justice dems.

I hate to see racism being politically worked.

I see enough uneducated minority sorts who really are struggling to make it here without meaningful skills..... virtual slave labor for the corporates.... hospitality/agriculture corporates/all kinds of price-competitive low wage workers….

Sometimes I see police "interactions".... maybe drug, maybe essential law enforcement.... and once in a while there is the mall parking lot ruckus where the police are asking questions and getting some verbal "feedback". I don't think it is just easy to come to America and walk on these "Streets of Gold", or land of promise, without rudimentary good sense and respect for the people and the place. A lot of people work seriously harder than I could ever do. And it does become a better life in the long run.

But the whole idea of globalism was to try to raise the level of opportunity in all countries, wasn't it????

Not drag our country down.

a lot of established Americans of every sort, whether by origin or ethnicity, are going "Republican" on the crazy Dem party that just won't work with a rough-talking but soft-hearted self-made Billionaire.... well, sorta.....

Can't forget he made his way generously contributing to the Hillaries and every other political office holder with some favor or another to grant.

His age would have concerned me. That's my beef with Bernie too
